Sarah took to Instagram on Monday night and posted photos of herself wearing a sweatshirt that reads, "The Best Is Yet to Come." Sarah also posted an image of her grandmother and a bouquet of flowers The Bachelor family had sent her, giving their condolences.

Sarah captioned her post, "Almost paradise. Kinda," and revealed that her grandmother had passed away during filming.

"Opening myself up to another chance at love here was a challenge in itself, but when my grandma passed, having one of the most vulnerable and heartbreaking moments of my life captured while being there was something I never expected," Sarah wrote to her followers.

"While I wish things had gone differently for myself and my family back home, I hope this can be a reminder that all of us on the show are real people, with real lives and families beyond what you may see on TV."

Sarah said those worlds just so happened to "intersect" for her.

"It reminds me of what's really important," she continued, "and to just be kind."

"I hope this can remind you of the same as you continue to enjoy watching paradise unfold. All love, thank you so much for all your support Xx," Sarah concluded.

Some Bachelor in Paradise fans had questioned Sarah's abrupt departure given the timing was right before a Rose Ceremony and she was unmatched with a bachelor at the time.

While the women handed out roses on Monday night's episode, the cast didn't know hours beforehand whether the men or women would have the power that night.

Sarah joined the Bachelor in Paradise cast with four other women as part of Season 8's controversial "The Split" twist.

Sarah went on a date and sparked a connection with Logan Palmer, but he chose to dump the bachelorette for Kate Gallivan.

Sarah attempted to get to know Jacob Rapini once things with Logan didn't work out, but a romance never took off.

Before appearing on Paradise, Sarah competed for Clayton Echard's heart on The Bachelor's 26th season, which aired on ABC this past winter.

Sarah was at the center of drama on The Bachelor as relationships deepened and became serious later in the season.

Mara Agreat warned Clayton that Sarah didn't seem prepared for an engagement and to become a wife considering Sarah was only 23 years old when she filmed The Bachelor in late 2021.

Mara also claimed Sarah acted like Clayton was "a trophy to be won" and seemed to assume she already had the competition in the bag.

Mara also accused Sarah of calling the other women "the in between" of her relationship with Clayton, meaning Sarah had thought she was going to end up with the Bachelor -- but Sarah denied ever saying that.

In addition to Mara, Teddi Wright and Rachel Recchia also complained the 24-year-old management advisor from New York was boastful and had used her supposed strong connection with Clayton as a weapon to intimidate and stir up insecurities in her competition.

The women thought Sarah was "manipulative" and enjoyed "breaking the other girls down" with her alleged tactics.

Clayton ultimately sent Sarah home for allegedly exaggerating and lying about the extent of their relationship.

Sarah allegedly told the other women Clayton had cried about his strong feelings for her, which Clayton firmly shot down. Clayton therefore determined Sarah was being disingenuous.

Sarah told Us Weekly in March that she felt totally "betrayed" by her former best friends on the show, Teddi and Rachel.

"It's hurtful because throughout our entire time on this season, I was a sounding board for them. They shared good days with me. They shared bad days with me, and they shared tears, laughter," Sarah said at the time.

Sarah claimed Teddi had said Clayton wanted to meet her family and Rachel had bragged about Clayton wanting to visit her hometown.

"At this point, I had not had those conversations, but did I hold that against them? No. Did I come to him about that and say, 'How dare these women say this to me and make me insecure?' No," Sarah vented.

Sarah told the magazine that she had celebrated with the other women and talked them "off a ledge" when they cried.

"I think what was the most hurtful is that even when it was brought to my attention that they felt insecure because of my relationship, I came to them specifically and I said, 'I take accountability for this. I apologize for this. And I want to move forward,'" Sarah insisted.

"They accepted that apology. We agreed -- all three of us, because we had all been doing it -- we all agreed to not share intimate details anymore, and moving forward, we didn't."
