Bachelor in Paradise alum Tanner Courtad has addressed rumors he was once romantically involved with Dancing with the Stars co-host Julianne Hough.

Tanner recalled attending a live taping of Dancing with the Stars' 33rd season in early December 2024, when former The Bachelor star Joey Graziadei was competing as one of the celebrity contestants.
"I was going to Dancing with the Stars to support Joey, and I was sitting in the front row, and [pro dancer Ezra Sosa] came over to me, and he goes, 'Hey, our host thinks you're cute. Can I give you her number?'" Tanner recalled.
Tanner was apparently stunned -- in a good way -- about the request.
"I look back at [Bachelor in Paradise alum] Justin Glaze. I'm like, 'Did you hear that? Is this a prank?' I thought Justin was in on it or something," Tanner explained.
"But no, we chatted. I actually met her out in the parking lot. We talked for a couple of minutes, decided to go on a date and talked for a little bit."
Tanner also revealed that he and Julianne "went to the park with her dog, got some sushi, [and] hung out for the night."
Tanner said he and the pro dancer and actress were "spotted by the paparazzi" when they were picking up their sushi dinner.
At the time, Just Jared had published photos of Julianne and Tanner enjoying dinner together at Sportsman's Lodge in Studio City, CA. They were also photographed walking Julianne's dog.
"It was very short-lived," Tanner repeated of his relationship with Julianne.
"Julianne's great," he added, "but it was never anything more than just, like, a single singular date."

The podcast's co-hosts Rachel Recchia and Charity Lawson asked Tanner if Julianne was the one who had decided their romance wouldn't progress past one outing.
"Yeah, I think so," Tanner replied. "I blew it, guys."
After Tanner failed to receive Charity's final rose on The Bachelorette's 20th season, he looked for love on Bachelor in Paradise's ninth season in Summer 2023.
During his Paradise stint, Tanner dated Rachel as well as Kat Izzo and Davia Bunch. He also made a move on Jess Girod, although their attraction to each other never became something serious.
Tanner ultimately left Bachelor in Paradise single.
Tanner and fellow Bachelor in Paradise Season 9 star Olivia Lewis sparked dating rumors in December 2023, but they may have just been friends. Tanner was later spotted with Brittany Cartwright in August 2024 amid her divorce from Jax Taylor.
According to Tanner, however, he was "always just friends" with The Valley star.

"She's from Kentucky and she's bubbly and nice. So we started talking, and then I posted a picture with us on Instagram. And my mom DMed me and was like, 'How do you know Brittany Cartwright?' And I was like, 'How do you know Brittany Cartwright?'"
Tanner joked about how he's "an idiot" who doesn't watch much reality television.
"The media just ran away with the story. It was never anything more than a friendship with us," he said.
"But Brittany's great. And her friends are awesome. It was always just a friendship. There was never anything more there."

Julianne, meanwhile, was previously married to Brooks Laich between 2017 and 2020.
Before Julianne and Brooks finalized their divorce, Julianne revealed how she's "not straight" but still believes she will eventually have a husband.
