"If there's one thing about me, it's that if you try to silence me, I'm going to scream louder," Kat said.
"I actually wasn't going to make anything public about our breakup. He decided to do that. I didn't care. I was just like, 'I want to move on with my life!' But what you won't do is you're not going to lie about anything when I'm involved."
Kat said Dale had gone to the press first about their breakup and alleged they're "better off as friends" late last year.
A source had told The Sun in November that Dale and Kat quietly broke up in October after six months of dating because they "just decided they would be better off as friends."
According to Kat's account, the source may actually have been Dale.
"So when he went to the press and said that we broke up because 'we're better off as friends' -- which would require us to be friends first -- they reached out to me," Kat recalled.
"They said, 'This is what happened, give me a comment.' And I go, 'Oh, that's not actually the story.'"
Kat went on to drop a bombshell.
"I did [tell the full story] to an extent, obviously. I was just like, 'This is actually the case.' And then I receive, the day before Thanksgiving, a cease and desist," Kat claimed.
Kat described the legal document as "a three-page, multiple-paragraph, harassment cease and desist."

The Bachelor 27 alum said it "was the most insane thing" she "had ever read" in her life.
"It's like, you don't agree with what my experience is, so you're trying to make me not say it? And [you're] send threatening messages about how you're going to sue me for millions of dollars if I do? When, guess what? Defamation only works if I was lying," Kat boasted.
Kat laughed and added, "I guess he didn't want me talking about our relationship. But we went on TV together! You signed up for a public relationship; I'm allowed to speak my experience in the relationship."
Kat explained, "Just because you don't agree with me doesn't mean you can send me legal threats! And the fact he did is exactly why I'm sitting here today [telling my truth]."
Kat acknowledged that she'll never be okay with someone "trying to quiet" her "with their own falsified experience."
The Bachelor in Paradise alum also insisted that she actually has proof of her version of the breakup story.
"It doesn't need to be messy, but you're not going to try to make me smaller, and that's how it ended. We have not spoken. I was sitting with it for so long until this point because it was during the holiday season, first of all," Kat vented.

Kat concluded, "Send me another one. Sue me! What do I care? I'm allowed to speak on the truth. So yeah, that's where we're at, and he can take that cease and desist and shove it right up!"

During her podcast appearance, Kat cited long distance and Dale's lifestyle and career aspirations as the major problems they faced.
She also shared the first big "crack" in the pair's relationship that eventually led to their demise.
Dale and Kat were smitten with each other on Bachelor in Paradise after they both experienced previous heartbreaks within Bachelor Nation.
Kat originally appeared on Season 27 of The Bachelor starring Zach Shallcross. After she left the show brokenhearted, she got engaged to John Henry Spurlock on Season 9 of Bachelor in Paradise in 2023.
Dale, meanwhile, proposed to Clare Crawley on Season 16 of The Bachelorette in 2020. Following their 2021 split, he moved on with HGTV star Galey Alix.
