Adam Levine has kindly offered to take care of Christina Grimmie's funeral expenses for her family.

Christina's older brother Marcus Grimmie revealed the news Sunday on Facebook, two days after the Season 6 The Voice star was killed by a "deranged fan" police have identified as Kevin James Loibl.

"I found out this morning that Adam Levine personally called my mother and said he will pay for her funeral and her plane flight, and I was blown away," Marcus shared in the post.

Christina represented Levine's team on The Voice and so the pair grew very close throughout the competition. They also kept in touch and performed together once the show wrapped.

Christina was shot several times after an Orlando concert when the 22-year-old was signing autographs and posing for photos with fans. Marcus heroically tackled the shooter to the ground in order to prevent him from hurting anyone else after Christina was targeted. The singer, however, died in the hospital a few hours later from her wounds.

Marcus also announced on social media that a vigil will be held for Christina on Monday night in their New Jersey hometown.

"Words cannot express," Marcus wrote on Facebook of the support his family has received since Christina's death. "Literally I have no words. I promise both my parents and I will read every one of these personalized messages. I'm so blown away by everything right now. But all I can say is thank you. And Christina will be missed and never ever forgotten."

Christina's manager and the stepfather of popstar Selena Gomez, Brian Teefey, set up a GoFundMe account to help with funeral cost as well. The website managed to raise more than $165,000 in less than 72 hours for Christina's family after she died.
