Dancing with the Stars host Tom Bergeron's Tuesday night comment that The Bachelor couple Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici will be getting married in August was apparently just for laughs.

"It was a joke," a network representative told Us Weekly.

Bergeron made the comment to co-host Brooke Burke-Charvet while revealing whether Lowe and professional dance partner Peta Murgatroyd had received enough votes to survive Dancing with the Stars' Tuesday night results show.

"My understanding is that the marriage ceremony of Sean and Catherine is scheduled to be broadcast on ABC in August," he said.

However, Bergeron was apparently just cracking a joke about Lowe's bromance with professional dancer Tristan MacManus, who rehearsed and danced alongside Lowe, Murgatroyd and pro dancer Chelsie Hightower on Monday night for Dancing with the Stars' "Side by Side Challenge."

"Yeah [but] based on what I've seen between him and Tristan tonight, I don't know. Maybe not," added Bergeron. "The next couple who is safe, but maybe not with Catherine, is, Sean and Peta."

During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in late March, Lowe suggested he was anxious to marry Giudici -- whom he selected and proposed to during The Bachelor's seventeenth-season finale, which filmed in November and aired last month.

"Well of course, look at her! Yeah," Lowe said, joking that he's been "on strong sedatives" to remain under control. "We've got a great relationship, but I'm not worried about rushing it or feeling any type of pressure that way."

After reiterating how the couple's wedding will be televised on ABC, Lowe defended their decision to keep the cameras around by saying, "I mean, they foot the bill for the whole thing. How can you not?!"
