"A new year, a new decade is quickly approaching. While I have been working to better my mind, body, and spirit in 2019, I want 2020 to be the year [of] renewal and to cleanse all the bad energy from the past," Larissa captioned a photo with Debbie in which the ladies appeared happy and close.

"There has been some very negative back and forth between myself and a former family member. This is something I do not want to do anymore."

Although Larissa didn't name Debbie in her post, it became increasingly more clear Colt's mother was whom she was referring to.

"I don't want to fight with her, as it is all in the past. My time with the family was a bad phase of my life, and for the three of us it could never work out. Big mistakes were made, and for my part, I'm sorry," Larissa continued in her post.

Larissa and Colt first starred on Season 6 of 90 Day Fiance before appearing on 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? on TLC.

90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? featured Larissa trying to adjust to life in Las Vegas with Colt and his mother Debbie after leaving Brazil. Larissa and Colt's marriage was tumultuous, as they seemed to fight and bicker more than they got along.

After two previous arrests in 2018, Larissa was taken into custody a third time in January 2019 following an explosive argument with Colt at home that escalated into bloody injuries.

Larissa was charged with misdemeanor domestic battery although she believed herself to be the victim.

A criminal complaint obtained by TMZ, which had been filed in Las Vegas, reportedly stated that Larissa "did willfully and unlawfully use force or violence against or upon the person of her spouse."

Hours after the incident, Colt filed for divorce from Larissa on January 11 to end their seven-month relationship.

"I have paid for my mistakes by the law with compliance of the court, but I am sorry with my soul for my part in the break up of the family," Larissa wrote.

Back in May, Larissa accepted a plea deal to avoid spending up to six months in jail after getting into the brawl with Colt.

A judge had reduced her misdemeanor domestic violence charge down to a disorderly conduct charge in exchange for community service and a $345 fine, according to E! News.

The judge had ordered a suspended 90-day jail sentence, The Blast reported, meaning that if Larissa violated the terms of her deal, she'd be at risk for incarceration.

Larissa recently submitted evidence to show she has completed the court-ordered terms of her plea deal.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast earlier this month, Larissa finished 28 domestic-violence counseling classes over the course of six months, paid her fines, and finished 48 hours of the Justice Court Community Service Program by her scheduled court date on September 4.

Larissa also managed to stay out of trouble overall.

Larissa then wrote sweet things about Debbie in her post, writing on Instagram, "I have such fond memories of her, and when I think of them, I smile. The way we both loved and cared for the cats, we had something in common."

"I love steak, and she never failed to make me the BEST steak. We had a lot of laughter," she continued.

"When I reflect on things, parting from the negative, I acknowledge a lovely woman that I admire. I do not hate her. I will always have a place in my heart for her. For a short time, we were family."

Larissa then went on to thank her followers.

"I appreciate so much the support... You encourage me to be a better person every day.
I ask you all please, not to insult my former mother in law. This is something I want to stop once and for all," she explained.

"Yes, I react quickly, but I want to stop this. She does not deserve to be insulted or hurt. She is a good person, and one day I hope to see her in a restaurant or in a shop, and hug her. A genuine, warm hug. Be kind. Tag someone you would like to make peace with. #90dayfiance."

After her relationship with Colt, Larissa debuted her new boyfriend, Eric Nichols, whom she had met on Tinder, on social media in February 2019.

Larissa and Colt's divorce was later finalized in April.

According to court documents of the divorce settlement obtained by TMZ, neither Colt or Larissa were required to pay spousal support to the other and there was no community property, income, assets or debt to split up between them.

In addition, Colt and Larissa reportedly agreed to not "slander, defame, disparage or communicate untruths" about each other in the press or on social media.

Larissa announced her split from Eric in September after eight months of dating. She insisted at the time there were no hard feelings, but Eric claimed he was shocked and blindsided by Larissa's announcement of their breakup on social media.

Larissa later filed a police report against Eric on September 18 citing harassment, according to The Blast.

However, Larissa posted sweet Instagram photos of herself flirting with Eric in mid-November and captioned them with a red heart, sparking speculation they may have reconciled or at least had an amicable relationship.

Larissa revealed earlier this month she is inspired to go to law school after wrapping up her domestic-violence court case.

"I believe this system to have some flaws and [I] look forward to [establishing] my citizenship and [pursuing] a career as a lawyer to help others in a similar situation in [the] future," Larissa told In Touch Weekly in a statement.

Larissa said experiencing her own legal battle has motivated her to assist others through their similar trials.

The seventh season of 90 Day Fiance is currently airing on Sunday nights at 8PM ET/PT on TLC.
