90 Day Fiance star Ashley Martson is explaining why she looked so tired and sad during Sunday night's episode of the show's sixth season.

Ashley's eyes appeared red and swollen, and it looked like she had been crying for hours, if not days.
Well, in a Monday post on Instagram, Ashley revealed was dealing with a medical complication from lupus at the time of filming.
Ashley wrote a message to her fans in black writing over an Instagram photo that showed herself lying in a hospital bed with a red rash on her neck.
"A lot of people are asking why I look so sad and like I was crying for days in last nights episode," Ashley wrote.
"This photo was taken hours before that filming. I had a reaction to a medication for lupus and my eyes and neck were complexity broke out. They gave me steroids to help it but it wasn't completely gone. I was battling this the entire season so I just wanted to address it."
Ashley captioned the image, "Was going through hell the entire rest of the season dealing with this."

"Just wanted to address this since I received many messages about this," she continued. "#lupus #lupusproblems #tlc #90dayfiance haha it says complexity!? Thanks auto correct. Oh well."
Ashley and Jay currently star on Season 6 of TLC's 90 Day Fiance that airs on Sunday nights.
Ashley, a bartender and mother of two who had been engaged twice before, met Jay at a bar during a vacation to Jamaica.

After getting to know each other better, Ashley later returned to Jamaica, where Jay proposed marriage after only eight days.
Jay was subsequently approved for a K-1 visa, and the latest episodes of 90 Day Fiance have shown him trying to get settled into Ashley's life in Pennsylvania. The couple are hoping to wed before Jay's visa expires.
