"Now, I've lost 100 [pounds]," Angela told Entertainment Tonight in a Monday interview.

Angela said she underwent a gastric sleeve reduction, liposuction on her back, and a breast reduction. The surgeon also addressed two hernias she had and Angela was under general anesthesia for five to six hours.

"I have more energy," Angela gushed of her new lifestyle. "I've always been confident but I'm more confident now than ever! If you can get more confident that I was, I am definitely there."

Angela added she's "so glad" to have gone through her dramatic physical transformation because her "health is so much better now."

"I really feel like if I didn't have the surgery, I was going to have a heart attack," Angela shared.

Angela first revealed her weight-loss surgery plans during Part 3 of the Season 5 Tell-All event for 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? hosted by Shaun Robinson.

Angela announced in an early-October broadcast she wanted to have weight-loss surgery although her Nigerian husband Michael Ilesanmi was totally against the idea.

Michael insisted at the time he likes "big things" and the way Angela already looked. He also said he's not a fan of cosmetic or unnecessary procedures.

And Michael apparently wasn't very supportive even after Angela followed through with her plans.

"I can tell you he was a butt," Angela admitted.

"He was a total ass. I can tell you a little bit, that I was in this alone... You know, I did my boobs and he loved my boobs. I don't know if it was just him not being a part of it because he was over there [in Nigeria] at the time or what, but we went through it."

Angela added that her grandkids were her "main support" through her recovery.

Fans will be able to watch Angela and Michael's journey through her weight loss on the upcoming sixth season of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?, which premieres Sunday, April 25 at 8PM ET/PT on TLC.

"I can't tell you too much about it, but I can tell you, you don't want to miss it," Angela teased of the new season.

Viewers will apparently see footage of Angela -- who called herself "a big flirt" -- giggling, batting her eyes, and "trying to make Michael jealous" when in the presence of her handsome surgeon, Dr. Michael K. Obeng from Ghana.

And Angela said she's "excited" to show fans that once she puts her mind to something, she goes all the way with it.

"If you feel like your health is going to drag you down and if I can help anybody go do this surgery, I mean, it is dangerous, but it's dangerous not getting it," Angela noted.

"Anything you do in life, it's a job. This wasn't no miracle surgery; it'll get you started but you have to do the lifestyle change with it. Because this doesn't mean you can't gain the weight back a couple of years later. You can."

On whether Angela will have more surgery in the future, she replied, "I'm not sure. I'm debating."

90 Day Fiance fans first caught a glimpse of Angela's physical transformation in November 2020 when she posted social-media photos with her family from her birthday party. More images of Angela's slimmer physique later emerged on Instagram around the holidays.

Angela and Michael  have starred on numerous 90 Day Fiance spinoffs on TLC over the years, including Season 7 of 90 Day Fiance and Season 5 of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?.

Angela and Michael got married in January 2020 in Nigeria and then they filed for a spousal visa after their wedding.

The couple revealed on the Season 5 Tell-All for 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? that the visa had yet to be approved and Angela was struggling to see Michael due to the coronavirus pandemic.

"We won't [be together soon]," Angela explained on the show. "After the pandemic, we have to wait probably a year for him to get the spousal visa. But if we make it through all this and we're still together, then everybody can shut up."
