90 Day Fiance will be returning to TLC with a brand new season later this year.

While it's not a surprise given Season 6's strong ratings, TLC has formally announced it has renewed 90 Day Fiance for a seventh season.

The seventh edition of 90 Day Fiance will feature new couples taking a chance on love by bringing their significant others -- and potential spouses -- stateside.

"It is so exciting that, after six seasons, the tried and true original 90 Day Fiance is captivating more viewers than ever," TLC executive Howard Lee said in a statement.

"From laughter to tears to a ticking clock, TLC is dedicated to giving our viewers a rollercoaster of emotions with 90 Day Fiance -- and we're just getting started."

90 Day Fiance just wrapped its sixth season earlier this month, and the season ranked as the franchise's highest-rated one yet among women ages 18-34.

Season 6 of 90 Day Fiance aired from late October to mid-January and starred six couples: Larissa Christina Dos Santos Lima and Colt Johnson, Steven Frend and Olga Koshimbetova, Ashley Martson and Jay Smith, Leida Margaretha and Eric Rosenbrook, Jonathan Rivera and Fernanda Flores, and Kalani Faagata and Asuelu Pulaa.

However, marriage didn't go well for many of the last season's couples unfortunately.

Earlier this month, Colt filed for divorce from Larissa after multiple violent physical altercations in their home.

Jonathan and Fernanda have also separated with no apparent plans to reconcile. Jonathan has claimed Fernanda wasn't happy with their life and what he gave her was never enough, but Fernanda has accused him of spreading lies.

And Ashley and Jay are on the rocks after Ashley caught Jay using Tinder to meet and flirt with women only a couple of days after their Las Vegas wedding. She is still deciding whether to leave him and send him back to Jamaica or give him another chance.

On a happier note, Kalani and Asuelu are currently expecting their second child together, and Steven plans on bringing Olga to the United States soon so their family can be together. Her K-1 visa was approved in late December.
