Ari and Biniyam first appeared on Seasons 2 and 3 of 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way and have a child together named Avi.

90 Day Fiance features Americans who have fallen in love with foreigners bringing their fiances to the United States on K-1 visas.

However, once the couple is in America together, the American must marry their overseas partner within the 90-day period allowed by the visa or the foreigner has to return to their home country.

"The pressure is on and with travel guidelines more challenging than ever, there's even more at stake with these international love stories," TLC teased of the new season.

"Couples aren't just navigating unique lifestyle and cultural changes when arriving in America -- many of them must also adjust to parenthood and nontraditional family lifestyles. And while absence makes the heart grow fonder, personalities and temperaments have changed and not always for the best."

Below is what happened on Episode 5 of 90 Day Fiance's ninth season.

KOBE and EMILY

Kobe couldn't believe he was in the United States with his son Koban, but he didn't approve of Emily breast pumping in the living room out in the open and in front of her parents, David and Lisa. Kobe said it wasn't "the right way" to do things and she should pump in the basement by herself.

Emily's breastfeeding journey was super difficult for her, and so she said she wasn't ashamed to do it in front of anybody, especially since her parents who had helped her with the pregnancy and baby all along.

Kobe apologized to David for making a scene, and Emily's dad insisted it didn't bother him and there was nothing wrong with Emily breastfeeding.

Kobe also voiced how Koban had been breastfeeding for too long and Emily needed to stop soon. Kobe said things were different from where he's from and women typically stop breastfeeding after eight or nine months.

"The longer, the better," Emily argued.

David called Kobe "strong-willed and forceful," and Lisa said Kobe's behavior was disappointing.

"She is going to be my wife and we make love, and I have sucked her breasts, 'cause I love breasts, to be honest. So I can't be sharing breasts with my son. I don't want to sound selfish over here, but that's just the truth," Kobe explained in a confessional.

Emily and Kobe were having their first fight, and she didn't like how Kobe had brought up this topic in front of her parents. If this was happening on Day 2, she wondered what her relationship was going to be like on Day 22.

Kobe told Emily that she was being disrespectful towards him, but she just didn't want to hear it. Emily said the Kobe she had met in China would never talk to her like that because he was so sweet and laid back.

"Now Kobe is this manly man, trying to tell me what to do. I'm a little taken aback!" Emily admitted.

Kobe complained to the cameras about how Emily had been "very, very rude and disrespectful" to him, but he decided to help Emily's mother in the kitchen. Emily's family intended to prepare a special dinner for Kobe that evening as a "welcome home" treat.

Kobe realized he needed to build a bond with his son, who had already bonded with Emily's entire family. He didn't grow up with a dad around very much, and so he wanted to correct some of his father's mistakes through his own parenting.

"It's very important that I'm in his life, especially when it comes to his upbringing," Kobe explained in a confessional.

Emily brought up at the dinner how Kobe had proposed marriage with a fake diamond and she wanted -- and thought she deserved -- a real one. Kobe joked about how Emily was the boss and so he just wanted to make her happy.

But Kobe acknowledged how the man is always the boss in his own culture.

Emily's father worried about Kobe being able to work and provide for Emily and Koban, and he even broke down into tears over the thought of Kobe not reaching his expectations.

The couple had trouble putting Koban to bed with them that night given Kobe was wired and got his son all worked up. Emily was overwhelmed and asked Kobe to sleep in a different bed, which was "very discouraging" and "frustrating" for him.

Kobe felt left out and said Emily was going to need to give him a chance to really become the father in Koban's life and participate and be a part of everything.

BILAL and SHAEEDA

Shaeeda called Bilal's house "heaven," saying it was spacious and a dream come true; however, she said they still had some things to figure out before getting married.

Shaeeda was about to meet Bilal's children, Zaynah and Yusuf, and she wanted to show her fiance how she was ready for children and could be a good mother to them.

"My children have to like the person I'm with, that's first and foremost," Bilal told the cameras.

Shaeeda was a little quiet and shy at first, which resulted in awkward silence during the meeting. Shaeeda also told Bilal's kids that she didn't want to play any games with them.

Bilal's son and daughter thought Shaeeda was cool, but they were hoping she would open up more soon.

For the sake of Bilal's children, she succumbed to playing a game of pool. She also asked the kids to call her "Umi" someday, which means mother, and Zaynah said she didn't know how to feel about that. Zaynah admitted it was going to take a while to get adjusted to Bilal's new wife.

Shaeeda revealed that she'd eventually like to have kids, and Yusuf said he'd like a brother but "no more sisters." Bilal told his kids that he and Shaeeda were going to think about that more and try to decide "if that's something in the future" that's going to happen.

"I think it's definitely something in the future, babe," Shaeeda noted.

Shaeeda said it was very hard to be away from her family, and so she decided to FaceTime with her sister Judi.

Shaeeda shared how being a mother was very important to her and Bilal kept "avoiding the conversation."

Shaeeda claimed Bilal had led her to believe that he wanted more kids in the future, maybe two, but she noted, "Now, he's saying something different."

Shaeeda felt she was just starting her story whereas Bilal believed his he was settled.

Shaeeda broke down into tears over the idea of Bilal potentially not wanting a baby with her, and Judi joked, "You can have one of mine!"

Shaeeda looked at Bilal as her soul mate because he was a caring and kind gentleman, but she needed to know if he wanted kids since she's 37 years old.

"If Bilal tells me he doesn't want kids, it will break my heart. And I'm pretty sure it will be a dealbreaker for our relationship. There's no relationship after that," Shaeeda lamented.

ARIELA and BINIYAM

Ariela and Biniyam arrived in the United States together with their son, Avi, and Ariela's parents Janice and Fred picked them up at the airport.

Ariela and Biniyam had a warm welcome at the airport, and Biniyam said he was so happy and excited that he suddenly couldn't remember his English.

Ariela said she was feeling "excited and hopeful" about the future of her relationship with Biniyam in America and hoped they wouldn't be worse off than before.

Janice and Fred then brought Ariela and Biniyam to their new apartment, which was pretty big and spacious. Ariela said she loved the place, but she and Biniyam were both exhausted from their travels.

The apartment was right next door to Janice's home, and Janice and Fred had paid for the security deposit, down payment and first month's rent. She also hooked up the cable and electricity for the pair.

Janice mentioned how Ariela and Biniyam would need to take over the payments, and Biniyam said he could help them once he's able to get a job.

Janice and Fred expected the couple to take over the payments within two or three months, but Ariela said if she knew she was going to be financially responsible for the apartment, she would have picked a smaller and cheaper apartment.

Ariela pointed out how everything was expensive and so it wasn't fair for Janice and Fred to expect them to cover all the costs and rent on their own as soon as possible.

Biniyam also wasn't going to be able to work in 90 days until he could get his work payment.

Ariela and Biniyam only had a few thousand dollars saved, and so she wasn't happy about facing this financial stress right away.

"I think neither of us really know how long-term we're going to provide for our family, and that's scary," Ariela noted.

PATRICK and THAIS

Patrick bought a teacup dog for Thais so she wouldn't be alone and bored when Patrick goes to work. Patrick's brother John thought the dog was adorable.

Viewers were then introduced to Thais, who called herself an "intelligent, smart and cool person."

Thais worked as a model in Brazil and lived in Monte Carlos her entire life.

Thais was shown packing her belongings to move to America, and she acknowledged how she had never dated an American man before.

She thought Patrick was muscular and sexy and couldn't wait to be reunited with her man, whom she had met on Tinder.

Thais said goodbye to her family before moving, and it was hard for everyone because they all lived so close in the neighborhood. However, Thais' grandmother knew America was a dream come true for Thais, and she apparently just wanted what's best for her daughter.

However, Thais had yet to break the news to her "jealous" and "protective" father, who once ran after one of her ex-boyfriends to beat him up, that she planned to move away permanently and get married to an American man.

Thais was also moving the very next day.

Thais' father wondered if he could trust Patrick, and he worried about her daughter disappearing and whether this mystery man would be able to take care of her.

"I'll be back, okay? I won't stay there forever," Thais told her dad.

Thais determined it wasn't the right time to tell her dad about the move because he'd probably think she was crazy and making the wrong decision. He therefore had no idea how long Thais was going to be in the United States.

Thais' father cried about losing his daughter and not being able to see her for a while. He hoped she would find peace of mind in America and then return home, and Thais wasn't sure when she was going to tell her dad the truth.

Thais' dad certainly had no idea his daughter was about to get married, but she still said, "I believe I'm making the right decision."

Patrick made sure he looked his best for Thais' arrival day. He even said he had his back waxed, and he hoped John and Thais could have a brother/sister relationship.

Patrick said Thais joining him in America was going to be the "big payoff" to him having learned a new language and made so many preparations.

Patrick, holding a big bouquet of flowers at the airport, told the cameras that he hoped Thais wasn't going to be "too tired for sex."

The couple hugged and kissed when they reunited, and Thais said the flowers were amazing.

KARA and GUILLERMO

Kara took Guillermo to her mother's house so Guillermo could meet her family, including her brother and uncle who "are all characters," according to Kara.

Kara said her Uncle Mike is a father figure who's very protective of her, especially because her parents had divorced when she was young and her biological father passed away in 2019.

Guillermo anticipated meeting an overprotective man, which worried him and made him nervous.

Guillermo then met Kara's dog Cheeky, mom Ronna, Mike and Kara's brother Kevin.

Ronna hoped Guillermo would be "The One" for Kara, but she wasn't convinced yet. Mike joked about how he had stalked Guillermo online and could hire a private investigator if he wanted to.

Guillermo said he aspired to live in a big house, but Kara's parents were concerned about Guillermo's work and how he was going to make money in the United States.

Guillermo revealed he once kissed another American girl but Kara took care of him when he was sick once, which made him view her as a potential wife.

"I love Kara very much," Guillermo announced.

Mike said he was impressed with Guillermo right off the bat but he needed to see how Guillermo was going to treat Kara in the future. Mike didn't want to see Kara's fiance becoming a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.

YVE and MOHAMED

After two years of being apart, Yve said she had a night with Mohamed that she had always dreamed of, and the pair agreed it was a very special morning as well.

Mohamed said it was nice to cuddle a woman rather than a pillow in the morning, but he had never lived with a woman before.

Mohamed wished he and Yve could have breakfast in bed and explore the area, but Yve had to go to work and she apologized for that.

Yve knew she'd have to be Mohamed's sole provider for a while, and she found that a little stressful.

"I'm trying to understand, but I didn't want to spend my first morning in America by myself," Mohamed complained, adding, "I expected her to cook for me because my mom cooks for me and watches my needs... I expected Yve to do the same. This is not what I was expecting for my future wife."

Mohamed was starting to miss his mother already, as he looked around the kitchen for salt and other ingredients.

Mohamed, however, was excited to meet Yve's son in-person later that day.

Mohamed realized his first 90 days in America were probably going to be tough because he'd be stuck at home often.

During Mohamed's first day in America, he tried to fix the bidet.

Later that day, Yve introduced Mohamed to her son Tharan, and the guys hugged. Tharan said Mohamed being in America was "so cool," and it was such an adorable moment.

Mohamed called it an "amazing feeling," and the hug made him feel right at home. Mohamed surprised Tharan with a toy and then Yve cooked the boys some hamburgers and a nice dinner.

Tharan was clearly comfortable around Mohamed, who was going to assist Yve in taking care of Tharan when she was gone working. Yve hoped Mohamed would essentially be Tharan's babysitter, sometimes for full days.

Mohamed worried he'd be more of a babysitter than a fiance, and he didn't want to have "a female role" during his 90 days in America.
