90 Day Fiance star Nicole Nafziger is reportedly getting her life "back on track" with a new job and apartment now that it looks like her return to Morocco, which is when she's supposed to marry her fiance Azan Tefou, isn't happening any time soon.

"Nicole recently started a job working as a barista at a local Starbucks," an insider told In Touch Weekly, which is the job Nicole held down prior to moving to Morocco for three months in 2018.

Nicole planned to marry Azan when she quit her job and traveled to Morocco last year, but wedding plans got canceled.

"Her family hopes that having a job will help her fend for herself and really mature as an adult and a mother," the insider said.

In addition, Nicole is now renting her own apartment -- instead of crashing at her mother, father or sister's homes -- and has enrolled her five-year-old daughter, May, in Kindergarten.

Nicole was hoping to be living in Morocco at this point and having May attend school overseas, but things clearly haven't gone as Nicole had been anticipating.

"Nicole moved out of her mom's house and is now living in her own apartment with May," the insider told the magazine.

"She still has a good relationship with her mom, Robbalee. She helps take care of May a lot when Nicole is busy or has to go to work."

Until Nicole and Azan settle down together, if they ever do, Nicole reportedly found it necessary to pick up the pieces in her own life and be independent for a while.

"The good thing is her life is getting back on track. She's starting this new phase of living on her own, working, and putting May into school," the insider continued.

"She's focusing on those aspects of her life right now before she can consider going to Morocco or starting a future with Azan."

A source told In Touch earlier this week that Nicole and Azan's wedding in Morocco is still "up in the air," although Nicole had said months ago it was "highly likely" her wedding would take place by the end of 2019.

"She has a lot of saving to do if she even wants to afford a plane ticket to go there," the source said.

Nicole reportedly initially planned to return to Morocco in June following her sister Taylor's wedding.

But "no one has been talking about Nicole getting married because she doesn't talk about it," the source recently told In Touch.

Nicole and Azan met on a mobile dating app years ago when she was 21 years old and living in Bradenton, FL. Azan was 23 years old and from Agadir, Morocco, at the time.

Nicole and Azan got their start on reality TV by starring on Season 4 of the original 90 Day Fiance series, followed by Season 5 of the series.

That later led into an appearance on Season 3 of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? and then Season 4, which recently wrapped on TLC.

Nicole and Azan got engaged during Nicole's first trip to Morocco, and then they planned to marry during her second trip to Azan's home country.

However, wedding plans fell through due to financial burdens and time constraints.

At the time, Azan seemed to convince Nicole to invest $6,000 of her wedding money into opening a beauty store instead, while he planned to contribute $500 to the overall cost.

It's unclear whether that store was a real possibility or will ever actually open considering both individuals have made different claims in recent months.

Fans were skeptical of the wedding cancellation last year, thinking it was all Azan's doing and Nicole was just pretending she was onboard with it all because she didn't want to throw Azan under the bus or make either of them look bad.

Once Nicole returned home to Florida in 2018 as a single woman, she had plans to return to Morocco so she could finally wed Azan.

But there's concern Azan is not on the same page since Nicole was thrilled to have purchased a ticket to Morocco in 2019 -- only to cancel the trip two weeks later. (Prior to Nicole's Morocco plans falling through, Azan had also canceled the pair's vacation to Grenada due to an alleged "family emergency.")

Nicole never disclosed the reasons behind canceling her latest trip to Morocco, but the frustration and disappointment all over her face on Season 4 of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? pointed to Azan being the decision-maker.

During the Tell-All special for the spinoff, Nicole announced it had been a year since she saw Azan last and her 2019 trip to Morocco didn't happen "because sometimes, things are just personal."

Despite concern from family, friends and even 90 Day Fiance fans, Nicole apparently continues to believe Azan loves her and his intentions are pure.

Nicole is crazy about Azan and looks forward to hopefully becoming his wife. She recently revealed on Instagram that after she marries Azan in Morocco, she and her daughter May -- who calls Azan "Daddy" -- will stay in his native country for a little until Azan is cleared to move to America.
