The series also features Bilal, a 43-year-old from Kansas City, MO, and Shaeeda, a 37-year-old from Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago; Kara Bass, a 29-year-old from Charlottesville, VA, and Guillermo Rojer, a 23-year-old from Venezuela; Ed Brown, a 56-year-old from San Diego, CA, and Liz Woods, a 29-year-old from San Diego, CA; and Angela Deem, a 56-year-old from Hazlehurst, GA, and Michael Ilesanmi, a 34-year-old from Nigeria.

The 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? couples who previously starred on the spinoff's sixth season are Elizabeth and Andrei, Angela and Michael, and Yara and Jovi.

Jenny and Sumit previously appeared on all three seasons of 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way, which follows American citizens moving to foreign countries for the sake of love.

In a departure from 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?'s original premise -- which was continuing to follow the lives of couples who married after the American resident's foreign partner came to the United States on a K-1 visa -- Usman and Kim are not married, and neither are Ed and Liz (nor is Liz even a foreigner).

Jenny and Sumit are in fact married, but their wedding or ceremony never aired on TLC. In addition, the couple are also not living in America but in India, Sumit's home country.

Kim and Usman appeared on Season 5 of 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days and the season showed Kim traveling overseas to meet Usman in person for the first time. Usman also previously appeared on Season 4 of 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days with his prior American partner Lisa Hamme, whom he married in the show's season finale.

Ed and Liz previously appeared on Seasons 1 and 2 of 90 Day: The Single Life on discovery+.

"As these couples navigate the next chapter of their relationships, they'll be put to the test on everything from emotional affairs to disapproving family to immigration issues. With these couples kissing the honeymoon stage goodbye, are they headed toward happily ever after or happily never after?" TLC teased of the new Happily Ever After? season.

Below is what happened on Episode 1 of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?'s seventh season.

JENNY and SUMIT

Jenny and Sumit, who had been married for two months -- their "best two months," according to Sumit -- were shown rollerskating together in a speed park.

Sumit had met Jenny online and thought she was very beautiful, nice and innocent. The pair grew feelings for each other, but Sumit had been catfishing Jenny with a fake social-media profile and picture.

Sumit eventually came clean to Jenny, who went all the way to India to meet him in person. The couple continued a long-distance relationship for several years and then Jenny decided to move to India permanently to wed her man.

However, Sumit never told Jenny that he was already married, and his parents didn't approve of their son divorcing his Indian wife and dating a much older woman.

Sumit's parents had a change of heart once they could see how much Jenny loved Sumit, and they realized she's a good-natured person whom they loved. Sumit's parents ultimately decided they wouldn't stop Jenny and Sumit from getting married but they also wouldn't support the couple.

Jenny took that as a blessing to wed, and so Sumit and Jenny tied the knot.

Sumit shared how he was really enjoying married life, but Jenny joked, "I don't know for how long."

Sumit's parents didn't know about the couple's wedding, and Sumit was apparently afraid to tell them because his parents began singing a different tune about their relationship on a previous Tell-All special.

After the Tell-All, Jenny and Sumit moved into a new apartment, and Jenny was scared Sumit's parents were going to find out about their union through someone else -- and then try to split them up and take Sumit away, which they had done once before.

"If they find out through someone else, they might never talk to me again, and I don't want that. I can't live a happy life without my parents," Sumit told the cameras in a confessional.

Jenny predicted sharing the marriage news with Sumit's parents would just create problems and they had been so joyful and carefree together up to that point, but Sumit acknowledged how it was already "too late" because his parents would be visiting their old house the next day.

Jenny felt "tricked" into a bad situation, and she wasn't happy about the blindside and potential drama that was to come.

Sumit said he had to tell his parents the truth, even if it meant possibly losing them forever.

Before the couple met with Sumit's parents, they bickered because Sumit asked Jenny not to speak. Sumit acknowledged how Jenny is a strong and passionate woman and so his parents may not like what she had to say, which really angered Jenny because she wouldn't be silenced.

Sumit just hoped the meeting would go smoothly and Jenny would respect his requests as her husband.

The next day, Sumit and Jenny cleaned their apartment top to bottom, and then they welcomed Sumit's mother Sadhna and father Amit into their former home.

Sadhna said she'd never agree to Sumit and Jenny getting married, nor would she and Amit ever be happy about it.

"Not even on my deathbed would I say that, you can marry her!" Sadhna said.

"You did say it," Sumit insisted, referring to Sadhna's nice conversation with Jenny in the past.

"I did not say it, Show me right now the proof," Sadhna repeated.

"Let me tell you, I got married," Sumit said.

"Don't ever show me your face," Sadhna said. "If you're ever at my door, I will insult you and throw you out."

Amit asked Sadhna to speak peacefully as Sadhna yelled and cried about the situation. Sadhna couldn't believe what she had just heard, and she broke down sobbing in her husband's arms.

BILAL and SHAEEDA

Bilal and Shaeeda were shown playing in the snow together like little kids, throwing snowballs at each other and making snow angels. They had been married for seven weeks.

Shaeeda and Bilal had met each other online. Shaeeda said there was something very special about Bilal, and it took about three months for Bilal to decide to visit Shaeeda in Trinidad & Tobago.

Shaeeda joked about how Bilal has a small head but they had a great time together. The couple agreed to get married at the end of Bilal's trip, and then he returned to the United States and started the K-1 visa process, which took two whole years.

Shaeeda and Bilal had to overcome some problems once Shaeeda arrived in America. Bilal, for instance, played a prank on Shaeeda and allowed her to think she'd be moving into an old, dilapidated home so he could figure out if she was with him for love or money.

And Shaeeda had to win over Bilal's children from a previous marriage, despite a tense relationship with Bilal's ex-wife. Shaeeda and Bilal also weren't on the same timeline for having children, and Bilal demanded that Shaeeda sign a prenuptial agreement.

Shaeeda only signed the prenup once Bilal added terms that they'd try for a baby before Shaeeda turns 40-years-old and her business efforts in the U.S. would be protected.

The couple then got married, and Shaeeda was pleased about never having to be alone again. She also liked how she didn't have to spend her own money as often, which made Bilal laugh.

Shaeeda was still adjusting to life in America. She hadn't warmed up to eating red meat yet, and she even thought iced tea was strange. The pair was also still learning about each other. Bilal is extremely clean and organized, and Shaeeda admitted she has an obsession with clean tongues.

"But one hurdle we need to get over is just what happened between your ex-wife Shahidah and myself. I don't feel good about it... She had been insinuating I'm a gold-digger who wants to take money away from Bilal and his kids," Shaeeda explained.

Bilal told Shaeeda that she was holding onto a hot coil and it was just burning her, but Shaeeda explained how she's an emotional person who tends to hold onto pain. Bilal suggested that the women should get together again and talk things out because there was no need for hostility.

Bilal thought positive intentions going into the conversation would result in a positive outcome, and he wanted to make sure the women could get along for the sake of his kids.

Later on, Shaeeda agreed to meet with Shahidah again in attempt to resolve their issues and find peace. Shaeeda was hoping for an apology because she's not "the second wife" or "a second-class citizen." Shaeeda said she wasn't about to be pushed around by an "abrasive" and "unkind" woman from Bilal's past.

"I never did anything to her. I came in open-minded with a big heart, and I was disrespected in my own home," Shaeeda explained to Bilal, adding, "I am nobody's fool... I refuse to be a part [of baby mama drama]."

Shaeeda wanted Bilal to see things from her point of view, and she worried he wasn't going to be on her side.

Bilal noted how his children are his top priority and so things needed to go well or else he could be looking at a very steep uphill battle.

KIM and USMAN

Kim revealed during a teeth-whitening procedure how Usman was going to visit her in the United States.

Kim had been married for 20 years and never thought she'd fall in love again, but then she met musician and rapper Usman, aka SojaBoy.

Kim DM'd Usman, who then videochatted with her. They talked for about three hours that day.

Kim went from "potential" girlfriend to official girlfriend once Kim traveled to Tanzania to meet Usman in person and spend time with him while he was recording a music video.

Usman, however, refused to sleep in the same bed and have sex with Kim for many nights. She ultimately won the battle, but Kim was horrified to learn the music video he had been recording was about an ex-girlfriend named Zara.

Although Usman had lied to Kim, she still loved him. Kim wanted to spend some time apart from Usman and work out their issues, but then Kim found out during the Tell All how Usman had videochatted with Zara following Kim's trip to Tanzania.

"I felt like I couldn't trust him. It hurt me... but then he called me and kept apologizing," Kim revealed.

"He was like, 'Hey, I miss you. I want to talk to you in person. I want you to come to Nigeria.' And then I really thought about it, and I was like, 'I love this man and I want to find out what our future holds.'"

While in Nigeria, Kim said she got to the bottom of Usman's intentions and desires and he had treated her like "a total queen," which resulted in Kim feeling "100 percent confident" in Usman and choosing to move forward with their relationship.

Usman apparently invited Kim to travel back to Nigeria to meet his mother and family, which meant a lot to Kim.

"So I'm going to propose to him during this trip," Kim revealed to a couple of her friends during a lunch out at a restaurant. "I love him and I want to do it. I just think it would be different for me to do it."

Kim said she would file for a K-1 visa and bring Usman to the United States.

Kim couldn't have children, and so she said she was okay with Usman having a second wife and welcoming kids with her. Kim said while that sounded crazy, some women in Nigeria were "brought up to do this." Kim also liked the idea of being Usman's first wife and receiving all of his love.

Kim's friends couldn't believe Kim was even entertaining the idea of being in a polygamous marriage. They thought Kim was being unrealistic in thinking Usman could totally separate his feelings from his second wife and just use her, essentially, for a baby.

Kim's pals told Kim that she was moving too fast, but Kim didn't seem to care about anyone else's opinion. Kim felt "interrogated" and got upset during her lunch, and so she felt the need to walk away and take a minute to herself.

Once Kim returned to her friends, she insisted that she and Usman were committed to each other 100 percent. The friends, however, needed proof that Usman wasn't talking to other women in the meantime.

Kim said she wanted to spend the rest of her life with Usman but she needed her own questions answered.

ELIZABETH and ANDREI

Elizabeth and Andrei -- who had been married for four years and were living in Tampa with their daughter Eleanor, who was almost three years old -- met on a dating app when Elizabeth was planning a trip to Ireland and Andrei worked there as a bouncer.

The couple got engaged and married quickly, and they recently moved into a new house.

Andrei had been making money and doing well with his real estate license and a little help from Elizabeth's father Chuck, but Elizabeth's family were distraught upon hearing Andrei had asked Chuck for a $100,000 loan to start his own business.

Chuck therefore didn't agree to the loan, but he offered to mentor Andrei one-on-one and teach him the ropes. Andrei was thankful for Chuck's guidance because he eventually became successful.

"The more successful Andrei got, they just became more jealous," Elizabeth told the cameras.

Chuck tried to bring everyone together at a family barbecue, but Elizabeth's brother Charlie came ready to fight Andrei. Chuck was devastated by the fact his family had been torn apart, and Andrei said no one was talking to Charlie, who had allegedly left the family's real estate business.

Andrei also said he was trying to avoid Jenn, and vice versa.

Chuck, a cancer survivor, said watching his family fight on his back porch was the worst day of his life and this is the most fractured they had ever been.

Elizabeth revealed she wanted to start singing, maybe as a hobby-turned-career, and Andrei also pointed out how he and his wife may have a second child. Elizabeth said Andrei was making decisions on her behalf and so he was rushing this information.

Elizabeth said she loved singing, and wanted to get into that, but she wasn't about to leave her dad's business any time soon. She also wasn't going to allow Andrei to make decisions for her.

Later on, Elizabeth enjoyed a nice lunch out with her mother Pamela and sisters Becky and Jenn. Elizabeth vented to her family how she didn't appreciate how Andrei was always telling her what to do, and Becky wondered if something was "in it" for Andrei if Elizabeth pursued a singing career.

Jenn also said she wanted Charlie to get help for alcoholism. Everyone seemed to miss Charlie and his wife Megan, but they didn't want to be involved in drama Charlie instigated.

Pamela hoped to bring her kids together to talk with a mediator or counselor, but Becky reminded her mom how Charlie had "a disease" and "a problem" with drinking that needed to be fixed.

Pamela cried about wanting all of her children together, in the same place, for her birthday, but Elizabeth, Jenn and Becky agreed it was too much to ask, even for just one day.

The women just bickered through the conversation and clearly didn't get anywhere.

JOVI and YARA

Jovi and Yara had been married for two years, and they have a daughter together named Mylah, who was 17-months-old at the time.

Jovi met Yara on a travel app, and he liked how Yara didn't ask for money upfront. Yara said she was smart because she paid for her first trip and then Jovi paid for the rest of them.

"Good job," Jovi joked with Yara.

Yara said she liked Jovi's abs but now he has a beer belly. The couple talked for about eight months and then met in Budapest, where Jovi actually slept with his wallet under his pillow.

About four or five months later, Jovi proposed marriage to Yara and gave her a ring.

Yara later moved to the United States on a K-1 visa, but she hated New Orleans and thought it was "nasty." She hated how everyone was drinking and partying all the time, but they got married and then Yara gave birth to Mylah seven months after the wedding.

Yara moved her family north of New Orleans into a more suburbs type of lifestyle, and then Jovi accused his wife of not being fun anymore. Yara says having children changes women but she's still a fun person.

Yara thought Mylah was just like Jovi, suggesting she's a bit of a stubborn brat -- but in a lovable way.

Yara got ready to go out with some girlfriends, but Jovi admitted he didn't like the girls and thought they were a bad influence on his wife. Jovi, after coming home from work, wanted to relax and have fun and spend time with his wife.

"Don't make this a habit," Jovi noted.

"Just stop it," Yara clapped back.

Yara said it was her turn to go out once in a while and she should be able to have a couple of cocktails with her girlfriends. Yara insisted her type of partying was different from Jovi's considering he used to spend all of his free time in a strip club.

Jovi asked Yara to come home at a decent time, but his demands brought tears to Yara's eyes.

Jovi vented in a confessional, "I'm jealous because I'm stuck at home and all the friends get to hang out with 'fun Yara.' I would definitely rather if Yara and I could go out together, but we don't find time for each other anymore."

"My honest opinion? I think if we didn't have Mylah, we'd probably be divorced already. But if Yara and I continue to move forward and not have enough time to spend together and not have some free time to ourselves, our marriage is going to fail."

Yara vented about how Jovi had jealousy and trust issues, and Jovi apparently had access to Yara's phone location at all times.

Yara's friends told the cameras how Yara is better looking than Jovi and could get any guy she wanted, which is why they thought he was so concerned with her whereabouts.

Yara, however, wasn't confidence in her body and how her breasts looked after having a baby. She seemed to consider the idea of having a breast augmentation, especially because Jovi had mentioned how her breasts don't look nice.

"How am I supposed to feel sexy if my own husband is giving me ugly comments about my boobs?" Yara questioned.

"A woman wants to her man to find her sexy... But honestly, our sex life isn't good since having Mylah, and I feel like if I have my boobs done, me and Jovi can reconnect... and [spend] more time having sex and less time fighting."
