"Many painful realities and unexpected obstacles await as they navigate cultural differences, pregnancies, in-laws, scandals and more," TLC previously teased of the new season.

The season is sure to have explosive fights, confrontations, tears, and even police involvement, and the premiere episode has already given viewers a taste of some of that.

Below is the latest on each 90 Day Fiance couple, according to the debut episode of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?'s fourth season.

COLT AND LARISSA

Colt recalled how he and Larissa had gotten into a fight last time viewers saw them on 90 Day Fiance's sixth season and he had to call the police.

Colt said Larissa spent 48 hours in jail a few days before their wedding, and although he didn't press charges, the state of Nevada did. Larissa was therefore awaiting her trial for domestic battery.

Colt's mom Debbie wished the couple luck, saying they were going to need it.

Colt and Larissa had been married for four months by this point and still lived with Debbie and Colt's four cats.

Larissa called Colt "a cheap man" and accused him of liking to "flirt" with other women.

Colt quickly came to realize in his relationship Larissa was emotional, outspoken and jealous. She also didn't get along with Debbie at all.

Larissa said Debbie "tried to control" her, and Debbie told the cameras Larissa was "a b-tch." Colt's family also worried she was with him just for a green card.

Larissa admitted jail was a nightmare but she had decided to give Colt a second chance. She therefore married him two days later.

"Married life for me is hell, and it's all Colt's fault," Larissa said.

Larissa was then shown meeting her attorney about her domestic battery case. She felt "completely scared" about what might happen to her status in America.

Debbie said Larissa was "up and down" after her arrest and "emotionally draining," and so she worried about Colt's well being.

Larissa insisted she couldn't stand Debbie but had to rely on her for transportation.

Once Larissa talked to her attorney, she felt Colt had accused her of beating him and basically "being a criminal." Larissa said the fight sparked because Colt had said he didn't want to marry her and she got really upset.

Larissa then learned she may face deportation back to Brazil because of the charges against her.

Colt admitted there was "a constant fear and dread" in his home because of Larissa's trial and so things were tense and unhappy. He feared Larissa would be found guilty and be deported.

Larissa also called the dynamic in her household "toxic," mainly because she had learned Colt had "lied to the police" about what went down in their fight.

Debbie thought Larissa treated Colt "like sh-t" and she was sometimes simply "so bad" to her husband.

Larissa then revealed she had flushed her wedding ring down the toilet and it broke Colt's heart. Larissa said, "I did it because that's what the marriage means to me... Colt's money is my money, so [what]?"

Debbie thought Colt and Larissa's relationship was terrible and they shouldn't remain married to each other.

Larissa accused Debbie of disliking her because they were in competition with each other, which Debbie found preposterous. Debbie was tired of being blamed for the drama in Larissa's marriage.

"You need to be nice to me!" Debbie yelled. "You drive people nuts!"

Colt felt bullied, but he blamed himself for all of this and explained to his mother that Larissa was going through a difficult time. Colt wanted Debbie's help to normalize things and hoped Larissa would "back off" a bit.

Larissa wanted Colt to stick by her side, but she felt very alone. She even left the house and asked producers to interview her inside a production car parked on the street so Colt and Debbie couldn't hear what she was saying and allegedly make her life "hell."

"I decided to do the interview here because I have things to say and I don't want them to listen. Because I feel deadly afraid," she told a producer.

"If they hear something that I'll say, my life will be a hell. Something [is] wrong."

ASHLEY AND JAY

Ashley and Jay were trying to pick up the pieces after she had caught her husband flirting with women on Tinder.

Ashley wanted answers from Jay because she had expected him to be a faithful, loyal husband.

Three months after their wedding, Ashley and Jay were still fighting -- and she asked him what exactly he was doing on Tinder.

Ashley had discovered he was talking to "multiple women" on the dating app, and she wasn't sure they'd ever be able to go back to happy times when things were easy.

Ashley had been worried from the beginning Jay would be unfaithful because he was a player back in Jamaica, just like his father. But Jay had insisted he was done with his old ways and totally dedicated to her.

Jay told Ashley that he was just "idle" on Tinder, but she called him out, saying he had been active on the site.

"Your ass is about to be idle in this marriage," Ashley noted, adding that he had thrown their marriage away.

Jay asked for some space, but then Ashley threatened to give Jay more space than he'd like. With that being said, Jay got out of the car while Ashley was driving and started walking home.

Ashley said she wasn't going to chase after someone who had cheated on her.

Jay said he wanted a healthy relationship and worried about being sent back to Jamaica. He knew what he had done was wrong and told the cameras he "really loved" her.

Jay knew she loved him back, and he noted it would just take time for them to get back on track.

Ashley said it only took Jay 93 days to "mess it all up," but Jay told the cameras he gave up a lot -- his family and friends -- to come to America to be with her.

Jay, however, said he took full responsibility for his actions and had told Ashley everything she needed to know.

Ashley previously ran from two engagements, and so she acknowledged it was huge for her to actually follow through with marrying Jay. She knew breaking up with him would be a permanent decision and she couldn't make a quick, emotional choice.

Ashley admitted she had no idea what was going to happen in her marriage.

CHANTEL AND PEDRO

The couple had been married for two-and-a-half years but had a lot of work to do on their relationship.

Chantel's family was incredibly suspicious of Pedro and his intentions, so much so they had hired a private investigator to do research on him.

After getting into a blowout fight with Chantel's family, Pedro admitted he wasn't talking to them anymore and there was seemingly no hope of reconciling.

Pedro called his relationship with Chantel "garbage" since that incident and explained how they needed to work on their marriage.

The fight had affected Chantel's own relationship with her family as well, especially since the couple were planning to move away from them to Savannah, GA.

Chantel feared going to a new school and being away from her family in Atlanta, but Pedro said they needed to have their own life in order to make it.

Chantel also wanted to prove she was willing to fight for their marriage and do what was best for them as a married couple.

"Moving away from my family really breaks my heart because at this point, Pedro isn't trying anymore," Chantel told the cameras.

Chantel hoped Pedro and her family could work things out, but she said Pedro wasn't giving them that chance.

Pedro could picture finding a house with Chantel in Savannah but the biggest thing he cared about was moving away from Chantel's family.

Pedro thought the huge fight at Chantel's parents' home was all her brother's fault, and Chantel was annoyed Pedro wouldn't take any responsibility for his actions.

Since Chantel always seemed to find Pedro to be the problem, he asked his wife, "So why are we still together?"

Chantel admitted she felt desperate for their relationship to work out but she thought they'd have a baby by now. However, Chantel couldn't picture having a son or daughter with someone who doesn't get along with the child's grandmother.

Chantel told Pedro it was up to him to fix the problem. He then barked back and said Chantel needed to fix the problem in her head first, which she found incredibly insulting since she believed she was doing everything possible to salvage their marriage.

Later on, Chantel and Pedro packed their things to leave Savannah, but she felt they were leaving with more problems than they had when they arrived. Pedro was just sick of Chantel saying everything was his fault.

Chantel explained to the cameras she wanted a child but didn't want the baby to be torn between her family and Pedro -- just like she was.

"We could move to Alaska, move as far away as possible, but you'd bring the same problem to the table," Pedro told his clearly unhappy wife.

Pedro called his wife "selfish" and said she had never been there for him, while he always had her back.

NICOLE AND AZAN

Nicole, a single mom to her four-year-old daughter, May, said she had no relationship with her daughter's biological father and life was difficult and stressful.

Nicole said Azan was The One, the person whom she wanted to spend the rest of her life with. Nicole also forgave Azan for the voice recordings she had found in which he had told another woman he wanted to kiss her.

As shown on Season 3 of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After?, Azan and Nicole had canceled their wedding last summer for financial reasons.

Nicole therefore returned to the U.S. after her stay in Morocco and spent seven months in Florida with the intent of returning to Morocco and getting married.

Since getting back from Morocco, she and May lived with her sister Rachel and brother because she had given up her apartment.

Rachel felt Nicole wanted to go through with the wedding but Azan had pushed it off. Nicole tried to explain they had pushed the wedding back to open up a beauty shop -- which Nicole had contributed $6,000 to opening.

Nicole told her sister the shop was "going," but she told cameras the couple never followed through with the store.

"There is no store," Nicole admitted to a producer. "But I haven't told my family because my family does nothing but grill me."

Rachel heard Nicole cry at night and tried to be understanding, but she wasn't comfortable with the relationship because she kept sending Azan money.

Nicole said she and Azan had challenges, mainly from the long distance, but she was ready to move forward with him and loved him with her whole heart.

Rachel, however, didn't want Nicole to put her life on hold for him, especially since Nicole was willing to move to Morocco with her daughter and live with him there.

PAOLA and RUSS

Paola and Russ were shown attending an ultrasound together, as Paola was pregnant with a baby boy at the time this show filmed.

The couple had moved to Miami, FL, because Paola had been very lonely and bored in Oklahoma and felt more at home in the culture of Miami.

Russ had been hesitant to follow Paola because he didn't have a job, but he opted to support his wife and her modeling-career goals.

Paola admitted she "died inside" when she had a miscarriage and felt Russ wasn't there for her.

Months after the miscarriage, Paola got pregnant again and she said it was "the most amazing feeling." She was five months pregnant when the show filmed and noted her relationship with Russ was "stronger than ever."

Russ told Paola his family wanted to host her a baby shower in Oklahoma, but she never wanted to go back to that place. She never felt a part of Russ' family, as they had disapproved of her sexy photos and ensembles.

Paola agreed to attend the baby shower, but she was afraid of being judged and looked down upon.

Paola was then shown going out with her friends, and she told them Russ was good but she was wary about traveling to Oklahoma to see his loved ones after so many years away from them.

Paola revealed she didn't speak to Russ' family at all and they never asked how she was doing. Paola wanted Russ' family to visit them in Miami instead, but she had hope they could mend fences and become a family.

ANDREI and ELIZABETH

The couple had been married for a year, and Elizabeth said married life was everything she had dreamed about "and more." Andrei agreed they were best friends and Elizabeth challenged him often.

Elizabeth was 16 weeks along in her pregnancy at the time the show filmed, and she said conceiving was "a surprise." They were also in the process of moving into a new house.

Andrei finally got his work permit and had studied hard to obtain his trucking license, but since he had yet to nail down a full-time job, Elizabeth acknowledged it was becoming difficult to pay their rent.

Elizabeth was a property manager and worked for her father, so luckily for the couple, her father allowed them to stay in one of his three-bedroom properties with a pool and yard for free.

Andrei hoped Elizabeth's father wouldn't hold the home against them. Elizabeth had fears of her own, but she said they had to accept the offer given their situation.

Elizabeth was then shown hanging out with her sister, sister-in-law, nieces and nephews. She came from a large, close-knit family, but Andrei was annoyed her family was so involved in their lives.

The women in Elizabeth's family wanted to help and Elizabeth called them "relentless." The ladies didn't understand why Andrei was so against them lending some assistance, and they didn't like it at all.
