The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star spoke about the end of her marriage during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Tuesday, the same night the reality series' aired its sixth-season finale on Bravo.

Cohen asked Yolanda when she first discovered her marriage to David was over, and she replied, "[I] didn't know until [taping] ended -- until Nov. 15. We had already wrapped shooting, and the show was done. I know exactly the day: Nov. 15."

Yolanda, 52, confessed she was "blindsided" over it.

"I didn't think that was the end of the road," Yolanda said. "I would have hoped to wait until I got 100 percent well."

Extra footage for Season 6 was reportedly filmed after the split, and on Tuesday night's finale episode, Yolanda admitted "divorce is like death."

The couple announced their decision to divorce after nine years together on December 1, which was the same day The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' sixth season premiered. The news even reportedly came as a surprise to Yolanda's co-stars.

Cohen asked Yolanda whether her longtime struggle with Lyme disease played any role in the divorce.

"You can't underestimate how much it takes for a man to take care of somebody that's sick all of the time," Yolanda explained. "David didn't change -- I'm the one that changed. And, you know, I guess this is the outcome of that."

In response to criticism David didn't want to remain in a relationship with a woman who's constantly sick, Yolanda insisted, "I don't think anybody should criticize that."

Although the pair are no longer together, Yolanda revealed she still communicates with David.

"We are in touch a little bit, here and there," she noted.

Part 1 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' reunion special airs next Tuesday night at 9PM ET/PT on Bravo.
