Like hunting for a great white shark, looking for a great white rapper can be a difficult endeavor, and often you reel in a Kevin Federline before you net a school of Beastie Boys. But on Monday, January 8 at 10PM ET/PT, VH1 will launch its search for the next successful caucasian MC in the unwieldly sounding ego trip's The (White) Rapper Show.

The contestants will be judged by hip-hop pioneers Grandmaster Flash, Kurtis Blow and Fat Joe, and the winner will be awarded $100,000 as well as the honor of being victorious in the South Bronx, the original hood of hip hop.
During the competition, the contestants will bunk down in "The White House," a run-down South Bronx tenement doesn't resemble any of the mansions the 10 contestants hope to someday call home. But they'll have to realize it's all about survival, economics, class and race, and that in order to live the hip-hop culture, they must understand it first.
ego trip's The (White) Rapper Show is executive produced by America's Next Top Model executive producer Ken Mok; Sacha Jenkins, Gabriel Alvarez, Brent Rollins, Elliott Wilson and Jefferson Mao, the team behind the now defunct ego trip hip-hop magazine from which the show takes its name; and VH1 executives Jim Ackerman and Michael Hirschorn.
