Minor league baseball's Toledo Mudhens say "American Idol" finalist Crystal Bowersox could be singing "The Star Spangled Banner" before Friday's game.

Bowersox, 24, from Ellison, Ohio, has agreed to sing the national anthem and the Fox TV show has given its OK -- if she survives this week's voting, The (Toledo) Blade reports.

Mudhens spokesman Scott Jeffer told the newspaper Bowersox was also invited to sing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" during the seventh-inning stretch and perform after the game against the Indianapolis Indians.

However, he said, her appearance depends on whether or not she makes it through to the Idol finals in two weeks. The final show includes a film of the three top singers as they return home to cheering crowds, The Blade noted.

Bowersox, Lee DeWyze, Michael Lynche and Casey James will compete for viewers' votes Tuesday night and on Wednesday, one of them will be sent home.
