TLC to premiere the third season of 'Cake Boss' on May 31

TLC has announced Cake Boss' third season will premiere Monday, May 31 at 9PM ET/PT.

Similar to its first two seasons, Cake Boss will continue to follow cake artist Buddy Valastro and his large Italian family as they run Carlo's Bakery -- a Hoboken, NJ bakery that specializes in novelty and special occasion cakes.

Cake Boss' 26-episode third season will also include the Valastro family taking a trip to Italy and Carlo's Bakery celebrating its 100th anniversary with an open-to-the-public block party.

TLC renewed Cake Boss for a third season in February after its second season averaged roughly 1.8 million total viewers throughout its broadcast run.
