TLC has announced it has ordered Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, a new show which will star Thompson and her family and chronicle their pursuit of crowns in the competitive pageant world as well as their normal everyday lives at home in rural Georgia.

Thompson will set out prove she's "more than just a Go-Go Juice-drinking beauty queen," according to the network. Away from the pageant stage, the series will show the six-year-old participating in activities and get-togethers with her "unapologetically outrageous" family ranging from four-wheeling through mud pits to collecting road kill for cookouts.

In addition to Thompson, each episode of the new series will also feature her family: June, a stay-at-home mom; Sugar Bear, a chalk-mining dad; Lauryn "Pumpkin," a 12-year-old sister; Jessica "Chubbs," a 15-year-old sister; and Anna "Chickadee," a pregnant 17-year-old sister.

Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, which is being produced by Authentic Entertainment, is scheduled to premiere in August 2012 with six half-hour episodes.
