The WB picks up 'Bachelor' producer Mike Fleiss' 'Big Man On Campus'

The Bachelor producer Mike Fleiss is going to be a busy man the next several months. Only days after CBS announced that it had picked up his previously stalled The Will series, The WB has announced that it has picked up a new reality relationship show dubbed Big Man on Campus from Fleiss.
For now, beyond the title of the program, Fleiss and The WB aren't revealing much else about the six-episode show. According to Daily Variety, Fleiss would only reveal the obvious -- that the program will be set on a university campus -- and that the program "will not be just a younger version of The Bachelor."
According to The WB, their move to jump into the reality relationship show bandwagon was a natural follow-on to their previous reality shows such as Boarding House, The Surreal Life, and High School Reunion (which is also produced by Fleiss.) "We've wanted to do the WB version of a relationship show for a long time, so we finally said, 'Let's go to the king of relationship shows,' " WB executive Keith Cox told Variety. "Mike knows our audience, and he knows how to tell a story," Cox added. "When we heard about this show, we bought it right away."
Naturally, Fleiss also had nothing but good things to say about the network, where he thinks Big Man will be a "perfect fit." "Look at the top 10, the top 20 shows (among viewers 18-34)," Fleiss told the paper. "It's mostly reality. It's what young viewers are really responding to right now, and that's who the WB's audience is. Their demo is the demo that really responds to reality."
"A college show is something I've wanted to do for a while," added Fleiss. "We've got a couple of extra mechanisms that I think will make this interesting."
