The Voice's Season 9 winner, Jordan Smith, has asked his girlfriend Kristen Denny to marry him.

Smith kicked off 2016 by popping the question to Denny, his significant other for over three years.

"RINGING in the new year with my future wife!" Smith, 25, captioned a cute photo of the pair, both with their mouths dropped in excitement, on Instagram Saturday. "She said YES! #Mr&MrsSmith."

Denny wrote her own little message alongside the same Instagram photo: "2016... You're definitely my favorite #Engaged #Mr&MrsSmith."

She later shared a close-up of her sparkler and called the proposal day "absolute perfection."

"Thanks for all the well wishes and sweet messages! I am so incredibly blessed and I can't wait to marry my best friend!" Denny captioned the photo.

After winning The Voice late last year for coach Adam Levine, Smith gushed about Denny in an interview with People.

"She's been through it all with me and has been such a big support and foundation. To have her with me [at the finale] was so special," Smith explained, before noting Denny is also a singer herself.

Smith just performed the National Anthem for the NHL Winter Classic at Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts on New Year's Day. Denny apparently traveled with him to the event.
