It looks like The Simple Life's sixth season could end up filming behind bars.

Los Angeles prosecutors are recommending that The Simple Life star and hotel heiress Paris Hilton serve a 45-day sentence in county jail for violating her probation on a drunken driving misdemeanor, Reuters reported Thursday.

Last September, Hilton was charged with driving under the influence after she was stopped in Los Angeles for "driving erratically" and was found to have a blood alcohol level of .08, the minimum for a DUI arrest under California law.  While she could have faced a maximum six months in jail and a $1,000 fine if convicted, a judge in January instead sentenced Hilton to three years' probation, which included the requirement that she "obey all laws" and enroll in alcohol education classes within 21 days.

But she didn't obey laws, as Hilton was arrested once again in Los Angeles in February for driving without a valid license after she was stopped while driving down Sunset Boulevard without her lights on.  Somewhat ironically, her license was suspended due to the DUI case.  Now Hilton is accused of driving on the suspended license as well as for failing to enroll in an alcohol education program by the court-ordered deadline, according to Reuters.

A Los Angeles judge will decide if a jail sentence will be imposed on Hilton, Reuters reported, and prosecutors are also asking the judge to impound her $190,000 Bentley, extend her driver's license suspension, as well as ban her from drinking alcohol for 90 days.

The Simple Life's fifth season -- which will star Hilton and BFF Nicole Richie as camp counselors -- is scheduled to premiere Monday, May 28 at 10PM ET/PT on E!.
