'The Real Housewives' star Teresa Giudice facing home foreclosure

Teresa Giudice might regret her decision to build her lavish new home from scratch.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey star and her husband Joe Giudice are facing foreclosure on their newly built home after their mortgage company filed a complaint in New Jersey Superior Court on October 9, E! News reported Friday.

The complaint -- which was lodged by DLI Mortgage Capital Inc. -- seeks to recover Giudice's Lincoln Park, NJ property due to the amount of unpaid money the family owes for it, E! News reported.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey's first season had featured Giudice stating she had decided to custom build the 12,000 square-foot home because she felt buying a pre-owned home was unclean and spending tens of thousands on dollars on furnishings, all of which she had paid for in cash.

Giudice could not be reached for comment by E!, while Bravo stated that they "cannot comment on the personal lives of our talent."

Giudice and her husband welcomed their fourth child -- a daughter -- in September.

Bravo renewed The Real Housewives of New Jersey for a second season earlier this month, and it is currently slated to debut sometime next year.
