Bravo announced that it has renewed The Real Housewives of New Jersey for a second season.

Production is currently underway and it is slated to debut sometime next year.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey premiered in May and it follows the daily lives and drama of Garden State sisters Caroline and Dina Manzo, their sister-in-law Jacqueline Laurita, as well as Teresa Giudice and Danielle Staub.

The renewal isn't a surprise given strong ratings of the show's first season, which averaged 2.55 million total viewers and 1.91 million viewers in the Adults 18-49 demographic during its 10-episode run.  The numbers represented a The Real Housewives franchise ratings record at the time, however The Real Housewives of Atlanta's currently-airing second season is on pace to break it.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey is produced by Sirens Media.

In addition to renewing The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Bravo also formally ordered The Real Housewives of D.C., a fifth The Real Housewives edition it began developing in May.
