The Bachelorette star Katie Thurston has hinted she may be open to getting back together with Michael Allio from her season.

To celebrate the upcoming holidays as well as the re-release of Taylor Swift's "Red" album, Katie has been posting a "12 Days of Messy" on her Instagram Stories in which she matches one of her The Bachelorette suitors with a song from Taylor's album every day.

The Season 17 The Bachelorette star teased in a video posted to her Instagram Stories on Wednesday, "I know you guys are waiting for certain people during this 12 Days of Messy. I'm here to tell you that Michael is tomorrow."

She added in a seemingly-nervous manner, "I'm not ready for this."

On Thursday, Katie proceeded to post, "Day 7. Michael."

The former bank marketing manager from Washington uploaded a photo of Michael and herself and selected Taylor's song "I Almost Do," which is about reconnecting with a former flame.

Several of the song's lyrics are as follows: "I bet / Sometimes you wonder 'bout me / And I just wanna tell you / It takes everything in me not to call you / And I wish I could run to you / And I hope you know that every time I don't / I almost do / I almost do."

Katie and her The Bachelorette fiance Blake Moynes announced their breakup in late October after six months of dating, and so Katie is currently single and healing her heart.

"She's still hopeful on finding love but wants to make sure her head is in the right space," a source told Us Weekly earlier this month.

"Right now, she's just figuring out what she wants to do in life. In her mind, her future was with Blake, so now she just has to start fresh and figure out her next steps."

The Bachelorette fans swooned over Michael after he revealed on Season 17 of the series he's a widower who thinks it would be a blessing and unique opportunity to fall in love twice.

Michael ultimately decided he needed to go home in fourth place on The Bachelorette after FaceTiming with his four-year-old son James, who sadly voiced how it seemed like his father didn't want to see him considering Michael had been away filming the show for over a month in New Mexico.

Michael told People in late July that quitting the show and leaving Katie in tears was "a really difficult decision" for him to make.

"When your child says that, you answer the call," Michael said at the time.

Michael has been raising James on his own, with the help of his beloved parents and in-laws, ever since his college sweetheart and late wife Laura Ritter-Allio died from breast cancer in January 2019.

On The Bachelorette: The Men Tell All special that aired in July, Michael admitted he would love to resume dating Katie again if she'd be willing to give their relationship another shot.

But Katie announced she had continued her journey to find love following Michael's departure and believes everything happens for a reason. Katie also noted how she was "happy" with how her season turned out.

"I've been waiting to have this conversation with Katie for a while -- I mean, since the day I left New Mexico, it's been on my mind. She did provide clarity for me to be able to begin starting over and finding [love] all over again," Michael told People after the special aired.

"The closure I got was basically that the position I put her in created a chain reaction for other things -- I know that when I left, there were three amazing guys that could have had better relationships [with her] than me the entire time."

Katie's Final 3 bachelors were Blake, Greg Grippo and Justin Glaze, and Katie's The Bachelorette season concluded in August with Blake proposing marriage.

When chatter and speculation began about the next Bachelor, many franchise fans were rooting for Michael to become The Bachelor's early 2022 star -- including The Bachelorette alum Becca, who called Michael sweet and genuine on her "Bachelor Happy Hour" podcast, as well as Katie herself.

Katie told Access this past summer that her "Top 2 picks" for The Bachelor's Season 26 star were Michael and Andrew Spencer, adding, "They'd both be amazing Bachelors."

Michael told People in late July, however, that he was "not sold on the idea" of leading the franchise.

The 36-year-old business owner from Akron, OH, explained, "I literally just got my heart broken on TV, so I am trying to mend those wings. And I have to think about what it would be like to get engaged in and introduce someone to my son in such a quick timeframe."

But Michael insisted to the magazine, "I do think love is totally out there for me."
