The Bachelor host Chris Harrison is apparently chomping at the bit to see what happens during Colton Underwood's season.

"I think he's going to be great; there's a lot of layers to this guy," Chris, 47, told Us Weekly.

"I think it's going to be fascinating to go through this with a guy who -- obviously, the secret's out: He's a virgin and also the question is, is he ready? Is he ready to commit?"

The longtime host added, "It's going to be fun to go through it with a guy with so many unanswered questions."

Colton will be starring on The Bachelor's 23rd season, which is expected to premiere in January 2019, after competing for Becca Kufrin's heart on The Bachelorette earlier this year and then failing to find love with his former fling, Tia Booth, on Bachelor in Paradise's fifth season this past summer.

Becca has said she's happy about Colton's casting in the leading role for the franchise.

"I've said this about all of the guys: I want them to genuinely find love and be happy," the former Minnesota publicist recently told Us.

On behalf of her fiance, Garrett Yrigoyen, Becca added, "If he is all in and completely wants to do it again, we will support him. We're excited for him."

Tia, however, isn't looking forward to the new season, and she may not even watch. The Arkansas-based physical therapist said it would be "kind of weird" to watch Colton date other women, even if they are just friends now.

Tia told Access that while she supports Colton in his journey to find love, "seeing how much he struggled in Paradise -- one, with seeing Becca, and two, for not being ready for a relationship with me -- I don't really know how he would handle having to hurt people, like, emotionally every week... How would he be able to handle that?"

Regardless, Colton insisted on Good Morning America he's absolutely ready to get engaged and settle down with the woman of his dreams.
