The Bachelor couple Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham are making their road trip from Virginia to Arizona so they can move in together.

After enjoying a whirlwind European getaway for two weeks, the engaged couple spent some time with Lauren's family in Virginia and are now traveling by car to Arie's current residence in Scottsdale, AZ, so they can move in together.

On Thursday, the 36-year-old pro racing driver shared an Instagram story of the pair sitting in a car -- which was a selfie of Arie and Lauren smiling with a filter of big, black glasses around their eyes -- and he captioned the photo, "Road trip to AZ."

Arie also posted a photo of Lauren, himself and his fiancee's adorable doodle dog, Dallas, who will be joining Arie's dog Bastian under the same roof in Arizona.

Arie wrote "Gezellig" alongside the picture, which is a Dutch word meaning cozy or having company with a pleasant, friendly atmosphere. The term encompasses Dutch culture and is used often.

Lauren, 25, told People that she and Arie had "such an amazing time exploring Iceland and Barcelona."

"Although we traveled all around the world on the show, we didn't really get the experience of traveling together as a couple. It's been fun trying to navigate these places and we've made a lot of new memories along the way!" she added.

In Iceland, the couple rented a car and drove around, making stops along the way at romantic destinations such as a waterfall and the beach.

"The landscape in Iceland makes you feel like you're on another planet," Lauren gushed.

And once Arie and Lauren landed in Barcelona, the blonde beauty said they could be found "scootering around Barcelona, exploring all of Gaudi's works, eating gelato and having cappuccinos five times a day."

"Our morning routine [was] eating breakfast in our hotel room while watching music videos, taking advantage of the breathtaking view from the balcony of our hotel and last night we saw a Flamenco show," Lauren told People.

But once the vacation neared its end, the pair found themselves ready to go home and start their life together in the real world.

Arie considered the trip with Lauren to be "fleeing the country" after his The Bachelor finale aired earlier this month. Arie proposed marriage to a different girl, Becca Kufrin, at the end of the season only to dump her several weeks later on-camera.

Arie then begged Lauren, his runner-up, to take him back, and the couple got engaged during the March 6 The Bachelor: After the Final Rose special. The pair decided to travel to Europe in order to escape all the drama and scrutiny surrounding their Bachelor ending and Arie's controversial split from Becca.

The lovebirds initially said they were going to take a break from social media during their adventure, but they both still documented their fun together and posted photos often.

"I know our social media 'break' has been a topic of conversation," Lauren explained to the magazine.

"We have just been excited to share our life outside of The Bachelor with everyone since we've been having so much fun! The break we mentioned was more directed towards spending time reading comments, not about posting pictures."

Now, onto the wedding plans!
