The Real Housewives of New Jersey star will be released from prison on Wednesday after serving about a year behind bars for multiple counts of financial fraud. Her freedom comes just one day shy of Christmas Eve.

"Teresa is beyond excited to finally see her family. She can't wait to see them," a source told People. "It has been a pretty challenging year for her and her family, to say the least."

Teresa, 43, will be able to spend the holiday with her husband Joe Giudice and their four daughters Gia, Gabriella, Milania and Audriana.

"She can't believe this day has finally come. She has waited for this day since the moment she set foot in there. She is so happy," added the source. "The first thing she is going to do when she gets home is hug Joe and her girls so tight. She has missed them all so much while she was in prison. She is going to spend as much time with them as she can."

This Christmas will be very special for the family, as Joe must begin his own 41-month prison sentence early next year in March. He's reportedly planning to spend a lot of alone time with Teresa in the bedroom.

Teresa is also excited to see her parents, close friends and extended family on both her side as well as Joe's. She even managed to get her loved ones presents while in prison to make the holiday extra special for everyone.

"She is so organized, even from prison," the source told People of Teresa. "She has had Joe and Gia and some others buy Christmas gifts for her."
