The Teen Mom star was reunited with two-year-old daughter Leah on Wednesday following her Tuesday release from jail on charges she assaulted ex-fiance Gary Shirley, RadarOnline reported.

Portwood, a 20-year-old from Anderson, IN, had surrendered to police on Monday after prosecutors charged her with two felony counts of domestic battery, one felony count of neglect of a dependent and one misdemeanor of domestic violence and battery.

While Portwood was released on $5,000 bail on Tuesday afternoon following a 24-hour hold, Shirley, Leah's father, still reportedly kept the child on Tuesday night and a representative of the state's Child Protective Services department -- which had already been supervising Portwood -- picked her up and took her to the Teen Mom star's home on Wednesday.

Portwood and Shirley were unable to meet directly due to a court-issued no contact order. While Shirley is reportedly personally against the order and hoping to get it lifted, Madison County judge Stephen D. Clase issued the no contact order -- which prevents the Teen Mom star from having any contact with Shirley, her victim -- as part of the terms of Portwood's release from jail on Tuesday.

Several prior media reports had originally reported the order also barred Portwood from contact with Leah, however whether that was ever the case remains the subject of conflicting reports.

According to E! News -- which had originally reported that the order included Leah, based on what it now states was incorrect information provided by the Madison County Sheriff's Department -- a county prosecutor has clarified that Leah was actually never part of the no contact order.

However, according to RadarOnline, Shirley and Leah were both originally part of the no contact order but the judge subsequently modified it, removing Leah, during a court hearing on Tuesday.

Indiana prosecutors formally charged Portwood on Monday after the Anderson Police Department conducted a domestic abuse investigation into allegations that Portwood had assaulted Shirley by punching and kicking him in front of Leah on an episode of Teen Mom which aired on MTV in late September.

Portwood and Shirley reportedly split after the dispute, but it still raised the concerns of Child Protective Services and police, who obtained MTV's raw, unaired footage of the argument as part of their investigation which concluded with a recommendation that prosecutors file criminal charges against the Teen Mom star.

After completing their investigation, police alleged that Portwood actually attacked Shirley on three different times over a 12-month period.

According to police documents, Portwood shoved, slapped and choked Shirley on August 14, 2009; slapped, punched and kicked him again on June 14; and then slapped and punched him once more on July 18. Leah was reportedly watching nearby during all three incidents.

Portwood faces up to three years in jail and a $10,000 fine if she is convicted of all four charges.

Despite their rocky history, the on-again, off-again couple have reportedly been attempting to reconcile their differences recently.

"Oddly enough, Amber and Gary want to work things out in some capacity," Portwood's brother Shawn Portwood told E! News earlier this week. "They've been getting along great, and now this happens."
