TV Guide Network has announced Sanjaya Malakar, the American Idol sixth-season finalist who was known more for his creative coif concoctions and wretched renditions of songs than his actual vocal ability, will host an Idol Stars: Where Are They Now special on Sunday, February 24 at 8PM ET/PT

Idol Stars: Where Are They Now will feature interviews with numerous former Idol finalists -- all of whom faired better during their time on the Fox mega-hit than Malakar, including original Idol Kelly Clarkson; second-season champ Ruben Studdard; fourth-season runner-up Bo Bice; fifth-season fourth-place finisher Chris Daughtry; and sixth-season Top 3 finalists Melinda Doolittle, Blake Lewis and Jordin Sparks, among others.

In addition, the special will also provide updates on various other former Idol finalists as well as Ashley Feri, the 13-year-old pig-tailed studio audience member who broke down into tears when she saw Malakar croon during an Idol sixth-season broadcast.

Malakar moved from his native Seattle suburb to Los Angeles in the first week of January.  He's currently writing music and starting to interview producers for his upcoming debut album.
