A Russian mother and daughter are suing MTV for a mistranslation during the reality show "Date My Mom," the New York Daily News reports.

Irina Stemer and her daughter, Anastasia Camras, 19, appeared in an episode of the show in which moms go out with guys and convince them to date their daughters.

In that episode, Stemer told potential suitor Jorgen Sampson in Russian, "My daughter has a very big heart," the lawsuit says. But MTV's English subtitles translated the comment as a boast about the daughter's sexual desirability.

The lawsuit says the plaintiffs were "mortified and humiliated" and seeks $2 million in damages for libel, intentional infliction of emotional distress, false light and negligence.

An MTV spokesman said they had not seen the suit and could not comment.
