O'Connell had starred as the object of affection during The Bachelor's Spring 2005 seventh edition. While he failed to propose marriage to Brice during the show's finale, he did present her with the final rose as well as a promise ring.
The couple continued their romantic relationship after the show and eventually moved in together until they parted ways in September 2007. The couple reportedly reunited over the summer and are planning to get married, according to In TouchWeekly, which broke the news of the couple's reconciliation last week.
O'Connell told People "everything's going great right now" and that he and Brice are no longer "taking each other for granted." He also divulged what one of their upcoming date nights would consist of.
"Sara and I are babysitting a friend of ours," he told People. "That’s our Friday night date."
