Nancy O'Dell never got the chance to compete on Dancing with the Stars, but now she might reportedly receive an opportunity to co-host it.

The former Access Hollywood anchor and Nashville Star host -- who was forced to withdraw from Dancing with the Stars' eighth edition after suffering a torn meniscus in two places in her knee prior to the season starting -- is currently being considered as Samantha Harris' potential replacement, E! News reported Thursday.

Harris -- who began co-hosting Dancing with the Stars with Tom Bergeron prior to its Spring 2006 second season -- announced late last month that she won't return for the show's tenth season, which premieres March 22.

O'Dell's withdrawal from Dancing with the Stars eighth season last spring was announced four days before its debut, and she was subsequently replaced by jilted The Bachelor bachelorette Melissa Rycroft.

She eventually underwent successful arthroscopic surgery in March.

In addition to O'Dell, E! News reported E! News anchor Ashlan Gorse is also considered to be in the running for Harris' former co-hosting gig.

"We don't have anything to announce yet regarding Tom's co-host for the upcoming season," a Dancing with the Stars' representative told E! News.
