Jake Pavelka reportedly attempted to reunite with his ex-girlfriend the day after he got engaged to Vienna Girardi during the filming for The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love's finale last fall.
In addition, the report claims that Pavelka left his relationship with his girlfriend "on hold" when he left to film The Bachelor and she was under the impression that they were still "on" and he was just appearing on the show in an attempt to further his acting career.
Weeks of phone calls apparently led to an in-person meeting between Pavelka and his ex-girlfriend, RadarOnline reported, adding that the two did not have sex but had intimate conversations in which The Bachelor star said he was still in love with her and wanted to be with her. Pavelka and Girardi told reporters during a Tuesday conference call that they "definitely" plan on getting married within the next two years after they give their romantic relationship some time to blossom in the real world. While Pavelka will also compete on Dancing with the Stars upcoming tenth season as a celebrity participant, he said it was an opportunity he couldn't pass up and had nothing to do with a potential acting career.
