Reality TV star Vanilla Ice arrested on domestic battery charges

Robert Van Winkle, the former rapper and reality TV star known as Vanilla Ice, is facing charges after an alleged spat with his wife, authorities say.

Sources told TMZ.com, the first media outlet to report Van Winkle's arrest at his home Thursday, that he allegedly pushed his wife Laura during an argument.

People.com said it confirmed with the Palm Beach County, Fla., sheriff's department that Van Winkle had been arrested for domestic battery.

Van Winkle, 40, was due to appear in court Friday.

No further details regarding the arrest were available, People.com said.
