Ray J and girlfriend Princess Love recently got engaged.
The 34-year-old singer and 31-year-old designer confirmed as much in an interview with OK! published Wednesday. Ray J told the magazine he wanted to "go all out" on his Dec. 26 proposal, saying Princess Love is "the most important person to me."
"It was all a surprise," he shared. "We were going to Arizona; I got the private jet and called her best friends and parents to come out the day after Christmas, and they hid on the plane ... I pulled out the ring, and I started crying."
"I was just hoping she would say yes," he recalled. "I was not 100 percent confident ... Maybe she'd think we should wait a little longer. But she knows where my heart is and the connection we have. She's a true ride-or-die woman for me."
Ray J and Princess Love, who started dating in spring 2014, were also joined by the singer's parents, Willie and Sonja Norwood, and sister, singer Brandy. Princess Love has since shared photos of her two engagement rings on Instagram.
"Both of my engagement rings," she wrote. "One of which I got in front of the world, and the other with friends and family present to share our special moment. Two totally different scenarios, but equally as special and sentimental. Thank you baby for the #perfectproposal @rayj."
Ray J and Princess Love are known for VH1 reality series "Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood," which will return for a third season this year.
The singer previously dated Kim Kardashian, and last released All I Feel in 2008. He is presently working on his fifth studio album, Raydiation 2.
