Project Runway reportedly unexpectedly lost two designers during the first week of filming of the show's upcoming tenth season.

One of the competition's designers chose to quit, while another departed the show after it was decided he should leave following a meeting with a psychologist on Friday, The New York Post reported.

"We lost two designers in one day. This has never happened. They seem to be under a lot more pressure," a source told The Post.

A female designer reportedly "just ran off in the middle of the night. The next morning she wasn't in her bed, her suitcase was gone," according to the source.

"Producers went to her home, and her doorman said she was upstairs but didn't want to see anyone."

The woman went missing from the Atlas building in Midtown West, which is serving as the accommodations for Project Runway's tenth-season contestants. She was reportedly "paranoid" after landing amongst the week's bottom contestants following the show's most recent challenge.

A male designer also reportedly broke down just hours later. According to the source, he "had an episode as the show filmed at Parsons School for Design. A psychologist was brought in to talk to him, but he seemed too nervous and it was decided he should leave the show."

Project Runway judge Michael Kors was apparently brought in Friday to discuss the matter with the remaining contestants and attempt to "calm them down and give them a pep talk," The Post reported.
