Maya Ramirez, the youngest designer to compete in the first season of Project Runway Junior, won the Lifetime reality series' first season at only 14-years-old.

"It doesn't matter if you're 8 or you're 98, you can do absolutely anything you set your mind to," Maya said following her victory.

Maya faced a group of teenagers, some of whom were five years older than her. She continued to tackle difficult group and individual challenges week after week and ultimately convinced mentor Tim Gunn; judges Hannah Davis, Kelly Osbourne, Christian Siriano, Aya Kanai; and finale guest judge Bella Thorne she deserved to win.

Maya, who's from Maumee, OH, defeated runner-up Samantha, a 16-year-old from South Ozone Park, NY. Peytie finished in third place, while Zachary claimed fourth.

Maya therefore walked away with a scholarship to FIDM in California, a complete home sewing and crafting studio, a feature in Seventeen Magazine, and a $25,000 cash prize to help her launch her own line.

The four finalists were each required to create a six-look collection to present at Fashion Week. Maya's collection was called "Female Warrior in a Field of Flowers." She utilized black and white ensembles with accents of yellow flowers throughout.
