Peter Kraus' The Bachelor Winter Games participation is not a definite despite franchise creator Mike Fleiss recently tweeting that Rachel Lindsay's The Bachelorette runner-up had joined the cast.

"Mike Fleiss likes to tweet a lot of things," Peter said on The Morning Breath podcast on Friday with a laugh. "I feel like he even said I was the Bachelor at one point, so I think he just likes to throw people off."

Peter, 32, added that his appearance on the upcoming spinoff is "not confirmed yet."

Mike, however, tweeted in early October, "Yes, Peter will be looking for love -- and going for the gold -- on #TheBachelor Winter Games!!!!!"

Peter revealed that production on The Bachelor Winter Games is scheduled to begin December in Vermont, so while it's coming down to the wire, he still has time to sign on.

"It's definitely something I've been interested in -- it looks like a blast, and I know some of my good friends are going onto it," Peter said. "I won't say who, because I don't know if they've been announced either, but it looks like a really good time."

The new Winter Games series will feature past bachelors and bachelorettes competing in winter-themed challenges all the while looking for love at a luxurious winter resort.

The Wisconsin personal trainer and business owner was initially a frontrunner to star on The Bachelor's 22nd season, but the gig ultimately went to Arie Luyendyk Jr. from Emily Maynard's season of The Bachelorette.

"It was brought up to me... and I thought to myself, 'No' -- like, instantly," Peter admitted. "But as time went on and I started to get more feedback from family and friends, it's something that started to become more of a consideration."

"Now that's all kind of subsided," he continued, "and I've been able to get back to real life, if you will. It's something I'd probably consider in the future. I don't see why not."

While Peter is interested in The Bachelor or its Winter Games spinoff, he insisted on The Morning Breath that Bachelor in Paradise is completely out of the question.

"No, I would not do Paradise," Peter confessed. "I heard it's like 110 [degrees] and they have no air conditioning."

Peter left The Bachelorette's thirteenth season absolutely broken hearted.

While Peter loved Rachel, he just couldn't wrap his head around the idea of proposing marriage after dating her for such a short period of time. Rachel reluctantly let Peter go before the Final Rose Ceremony because she desired a serious commitment, and now she's engaged to Bryan Abasolo.

When asked whether he misses Rachel, Peter dodged the question.

"I've never been asked that," Peter noted. "She's a sweetheart, she really is. She's very kind, she's very considerate. She's a pleasure to be around -- I'll go with that."

Peter is still "not dating" anyone as of now, and he surprisingly revealed on the podcast, "I don't think I would date within Bachelor Nation."

"I don't want my relationship that much in the public eye right now," he admitted. "Maybe at some point, but I like my life right now."

Season 22 of The Bachelor premieres January 1, 2018. The Bachelor Winter Games is set to premiere in February of that year on ABC.
