The 47-year-old actress detailed her choice to wed the country star and "American Idol" judge in an interview for Elle's January issue.

Kidman and Urban were together for less than a month when they married in June 2006, and the star said the snap decision is typical of her personality.

"I'm spontaneous," she shared. "I jump in. I kind of like getting married and then getting to know each other; I know that it sounds incredibly strange, but to me, it's a more natural process."

Kidman was previously wed to Tom Cruise from 1990 to 2001. She and the actor adopted two children, Isabelle and Connor, and she and Urban have two daughters, Sunday and Faith. The actress admitted she hopes to conceive again after she noticed the interviewer was pregnant.

Kidman last appeared alongside Colin Firth in "Before I Go to Sleep." She is scheduled for a number of projects, including a Jason Bateman film adaptation of Kevin Wilson novel "The Family Fang," and a David E. Kelley series adaptation of Liane Moriarty novel "Big Little Lies."
