'Newlyweds' Jessica Simpson to star in 'Employee of the Month' film

"The Dukes of Hazzard" star Jessica Simpson is on deck to star with Dane Cook in Lions Gates' new comedy, "Employee of the Month."

The pop and reality TV star will play a hot new cashier at a discount superstore, The Hollywood Reporter said Monday. Cook will play one of two dorky workers vying for her attention by competing for the "Employee of the Month" title.

Gregory Coolidge wrote the script and will also direct the comedy flick.
