Paris Hilton's publicist said the U.S. socialite has broken up with reality television personality Doug Reinhardt after six months of dating.

"In response to the inquiry on whether Paris Hilton has split up with Doug Reinhardt, yes, this is true they are no longer together. They remain friends and ask that you please respect their privacy," Hilton's representative told People.com.

Reinhardt's publicist did not offer an immediate comment on the news, the magazine said on its Web site.
