MTV to premiere 'The Hills' third season on August 13

MTV has announced that the third seasn of The Hills will premiere Monday, August 13 at 10PM ET/PT.

The Hills' second season ended with co-star Heidi Montag moving out of the apartment she shared with Lauren "L.C." Conrad to instead live with Spencer Pratt, whom she became engaged to in May. 

While the two former BFFs have continued to feud in recent months, MTV had already renewed the Laguna Beach spin-off for a third season in April.  The two still haven't spoken to each other since Heidi moved in with Spencer, as Lauren has instead decided to focus on her new role at Teen Vogue magazine while searching for a new beau.

Although much of The Hills' drama focused on Heidi and Lauren, the show's other two cast members will also return for the third season.  Audrina Patridge is in her first serious relationship but having a hard time maintaining it as she's filled Heidi's role as Lauren's new girlfriend, while Whitney Port just graduated from college and is attempting to find a new job.

The Hills was created by Adam DiVello, who also serves as executive producer with Sean Travis, Tony DiSanto and Liz Gateley.
