The announcement came Tuesday on Twitter alongside a black and white teaser video which features the country star sitting quietly inside a trailer as she writes inside a notebook.

As the camera slowly moves towards the page, the title "The Weight of These Wings" and a release date of Nov. 18 is shown.

The project is the first album from the former "Nashville Star" finalist in two years following the release of the Grammy award-winning "Platinum."

The announcement comes after the 32-year-old released a new single entitled "Vice" in August.

Also on Tuesday, Lambert was forced to cancel the final three dates of her Keeper of the Flame tour after doctors ordered mandatory vocal rest for the singer.

Lambert was scheduled to wrap up the tour in her home state of Texas by performing Thursday in Corpus Christi, Friday in Austin, and Saturday in San Antonio.

Lambert has not stated whether or not the dates will be rescheduled.
