Patti Stanger is now living proof that love can be found via a matchmaker.
The 48-year-old star of the Bravo reality series said she met Friedman -- a 51-year-old real estate executive -- five-and-a-half years ago through a matchmaker.
"I feel like it should have happened years ago, so I'm kind of shocked," Stanger told Us about the engagement. Friedman proposed to Stanger in Maui, Hawaii on her May 31 birthday, according to Us, which added the four-carat ring was delivered by a black swan named Raymond. "I have a rule, if you go out a year and he doesn't propose, it goes up a carat a year," Stanger told Us about the ring. Stanger and Friedman currently live in Los Angeles and are planning to wed next year -- however the type of ceremony they will have is apparently still up in the air. "I want to elope, and he wants a big wedding," she told Us. "I'm like, 'Let's go to Vegas!'" |
