Married at First Sight expert Pastor Calvin Roberson has reiterated his stance that the show doesn't aim to give its participants "fairy tale" partners -- and chided Season 10 participant Katie Conrad for suggesting so.

Katie was one of five brides selected to marry a stranger on Married at First Sight's tenth season, and she was matched with Derek Sherman by MAFS experts Pastor Cal, Dr. Pepper Schwartz, and Dr. Viviana Coles.

But in the days leading up to her wedding, Katie was conflicted about whether to go through with the extreme experiment or reconcile with an ex-boyfriend who had suddenly come back into the picture and expressed his love for her.

"It was that concern of pushing somebody away that I already did have feelings for to take a leap of faith for someone I didn't know and I wasn't sure if I was going to like them or if it was actually going to be my fairy tale," Katie shared on the latest episode of Married at First Sight: Unfiltered.

However, Pastor Cal responded to Katie's "fairy tale" comment by reiterating his belief that Married at First Sight participants must have realistic expectations about their stranger spouses.

"It's funny because, you know, I think that everyone wants a fairy tale, but we're not in the business of fulfilling fairy tales," Pastor Cal said.

"We're not looking for Prince Charming. We're looking for someone who can actually be a real-life partner."

Pastor Cal also previously voiced his view during Married at First Sight's Season 10 premiere while addressing a room full of potential male participants. "We're not here to give you the woman of your dreams," he said. "We are here to give you a real-life woman."

Katie was struggling with the decision to give her ex-boyfriend another chance or tie the knot with a total stranger when shopping for a wedding dress prior to her wedding to Derek, which resulted in an emotional breakdown.

"I was just really overwhelmed, like, 'Am I making the right decision? What the heck am I doing trying on wedding dresses?' I was just, like, flooded with so many different emotions," Katie shared.

"I didn't know what to do other than just cry."

Married at First Sight: Unfiltered host Jamie Otis -- who wed Doug Hehner on Season 1 of the series and is still happily married -- asked Katie whether she ever thought she'd feel that way when shopping for her perfect wedding dress.

"Definitely not. I always imagined that when I go to shop for my wedding dress, I would know how I feel about the person I'm marrying and know exactly what dress he would like to see me in," Katie admitted.

"So, it was not what I had always dreamed of."

Much unlike a fairy tale, Jamie pointed out there's "truly a lot at stake" when a person chooses to appear on Married at First Sight.

Even Katie's joint bachelorette party with the other Married at First Sight brides apparently wasn't what she had in mind for herself.

"This is definitely not what I had envisioned for my bachelorette party," Katie said.

"I thought for sure there would be some, you know, male strippers -- something along those lines. But I'm having fun with it."

Jamie added "penis drinks" to the list and asked if there was "anything of that nature" at the party.

"I think there was, maybe," Katie noted, as Pastor Cal appeared shocked by and uncomfortable with the discussion.

"That's a thing," Jamie explained to Pastor Cal, before Katie clarified Jamie was talking about penis straws.

"Thank you. Oh my God," Pastor Cal said.

"And penis cupcakes!" Jamie added. "I mean, [brides] go crazy now!"

"Okay, can we stop that?!" Pastor Cal laughed. "Can we talk about something else?!"

The second episode of Married at First Sight's tenth season showed Katie going through with the wedding and being pleasantly surprised when she saw Derek standing at the altar.

Both Katie and Derek were all smiles and said "wow" when they first saw each other at their wedding.

Derek told his future wife that she looked beautiful, and Katie thought Derek was "so cute" as well as "tall, dark and handsome."

The couple kissed many times throughout the night and both felt comfortable in each other's arms while slow dancing. Derek called being with his wife "a really cool feeling."

Viewers, however, have yet to see Katie and Derek's first night together as man and wife.

In addition to Katie and Derek, Married at First Sight's new season also stars four other couples: Mindy Shiben and Zach Justice, Taylor Dunklin and Brandon Reid, Jessica Studer and Austin Hurd, and Meka Jones and Michael Watson.

Married at First Sight currently airs two-hour episodes every Wednesday night at 8PM ET/PT on Lifetime.
