In early December 2017, Theresa announced she and Larry, who have two adult children together, had decided to legally separate.

And according to New York court records obtained by RadarOnline, the reality TV star quietly filed for divorce on April 16, 2018.

The 52-year-old medium -- who is worth a reported $3 million -- has hired a high-powered New York attorney to represent her in the divorce proceedings, while 61-year-old Larry has yet to attain legal counsel.

Last month, Larry admitted to RadarOnline that Theresa's Long Island Medium reality series on TLC contributed to the demise of their marriage.

Larry said while the show was "exciting and fun in the beginning," after "the longevity, you become more exposed, now it effects your private life."

Larry told TMZ last week, however, he is already picking up the pieces of his failed relationship and looking towards a brighter future.

"I have moved on. I'm fortunate enough to say that I have met someone special. But I'll just leave it for that now," Larry revealed.

"The separation was a three-month trial period and we've moved on from that point. We're in divorce proceedings. That's been going on for the last six months. It's not finalized. I don't know when it will be. But that's where we're at."

Around the time Theresa filed the divorce paperwork in April, she told the press Larry was living in Los Angeles while she was living and working in New York. Despite the big adjustment, she was doing okay.

Long Island Medium premiered in September 2011 on TLC, and the show is currently in its tenth season.

In addition to Theresa and Larry, the pair's two children -- Larry Jr. Caputo and Victoria Caputo -- also make appearances on the show.
