Lisa Rinna's brief stint on The Celebrity Apprentice was apparently long enough to spark a lasting feud with Star Jones.

While The Apprentice star Donald Trump fired the actress and Harry Loves Lisa star during Sunday night's broadcast of the reality competition's second episode, her catty clash with Jones was reportedly even uglier than what viewers saw on television.

"Since the show wrapped, there's been no love lost between Star and Lisa," a source told PopEater. "Things got so ugly between them that NBC legal had to get involved."

NBC's lawyers reportedly got involved at the request of the show's production companies while Rinna was still competing, however no additional details about what initiated the conflict or who was responsible were reported.

Rinna and the talk show host failed to hit it off well when their strong personalities clashed during The Celebrity Apprentice's fourth-season premiere episode. However, their mutual dislike escalated to a new level when Rinna's A.S.A.P. women's team failed to win the season's second task after her teammates selected her as their project manager with the hope she wouldn't be able to handle the job and would get fired.

Tasked with creating and writing a children's book, Rinna blamed Jones for writing the book in too small a font and also faulted singer Dionne Warwick for coming up with a theme that was too mature and sophisticated for four and five-year-olds. In addition, the women also clashed when Jones rejected Rinna's claim that the book was a group effort and requested she be listed as the book's author instead.

After the women lost the task, Rinna said Jones and Warwick threw her under a bus and gave her no support, while they fired right back and claimed Rinna was a bad leader with a poor attitude and had a lot of growing up to do.

"Lisa feels betrayed by Star and Dionne Warwick and has never in her life been exposed to such a negative environment. She comes from a place of love and refuses to fight dirty even if that means she would not win. To be honest, she's happy it's all over and has moved on," a source told PopEater.

"At least she left with her class and dignity in place."
