The 30-year-old designer confirmed her involvement Tuesday after teasing the project last week. Conrad starred on five seasons of "The Hills," which had a six-season run from 2006 to 2010.

"Today is the 10th anniversary of 'The Hills!' I am excited to announce that @MTV will premiere an anniversary special with me on Tuesday 8/2," she tweeted.

Conrad had sent fans into a frenzy last week by tagging an MTV cameraman in a photo, writing, "Never thought I'd see the day..."

She reflected on "The Hills" in a blog post on her website after announcing the special.

"Looking back, I am grateful for the incredible opportunity we were given to take part in this show," she wrote. "While it was hard at times to share my personal life (poor makeup choices and all) with the world; the experience taught me so much and forever altered my life and my outlook for the better."

"Thank you for all of the encouragement and kind words of support you have given me throughout the years," the star added. "I spent a lot of time thinking about how I would like to honor this anniversary and in the end, I just wanted to do something as a thank you to the fans."

Conrad's special will include "an honest conversation about what it was really like living with cameras," share "some behind-the-scenes secrets" and show part of her life today.
