Last Comic Standing's sixth-season finalists took the stage and performed during last night's pre-taped broadcast of the NBC reality series, with home viewer votes cast following the episode determining which contestants will make it to the Las Vegas finale.

Last night's Last Comic Standing sixth-season episode began with the Top 8 finalists arriving at a sushi restaurant, where they'd each be serving both jokes and food to a group of special customers -- which included female bodybuilders, Deal or No Deal girls, frat boys and little people.

The finalists then traveled to the Playboy Mansion and were met by Last Comic Standing host Bill Bellamy, who explained the rules for their final challenge.

Titled "Bedtime Bunnies," each finalist would write his or her own original bedtime story based around a title supplied by producers.  The finalists would be reading their stories to The Girls Next Door stars Holly Madison, Bridget Marquardt and Kendra Wilkinson.

Holly, Bridget and Kendra would decide which finalist delivered the funniest story and would thus automatically be given a spot among the sixth-season's Top 5 finalists.

Each finalist received their story title and got to work before meeting with Holly, Bridget and Kendra.  Once all the finalists had told their respective story, the girls deliberated their decision.

While Holly said there were "a lot of great stories" and the girls "really had a hard time" deciding on a winner, they ultimately chose Marcus.

"I won the final immunity spot.  I am the only person in this house who is a guaranteed finalist," said Marcus.  "That's amazing to think about."

However before the finalists left the mansion, Bill had a surprise for them.

"You will not be going to the cemetery and you will not be voting," revealed Bill.  "The seven of you will all perform in the final showdown, and then America will vote and decide your fate."

"I was kind of bummed out," commented Iliza Shlesinger, who had already single-handedly eliminated four finalists via the showdown.

"Now my ass is on the line like every other comic," added Jeff Dye.  "It made me happy.  I was happy that we get to do that and I was ready to perform anyway."

"They were all trying to play too-cool-for-school," said Marcus.  "But honestly, I think that any single one of them would trade places with me."

The showdown then commenced, with Iliza, Jeff, Jim Tavare, Sean Cullen, Louis Ramey, Adam Hunter and Ron G all delivering their routines.

Last Comic Standing's penultimate sixth-season episode will air Thursday, July 31 at 8PM ET/PT -- with the Top 5 finalists as determined by home viewer votes being revealed.

The five finalists will then perform in Vegas for the opportunity to take home title of Last Comic Standing and win the grand prize package of $250,000, an exclusive talent deal with NBC, a brand new Honda Pilot, and a starring appearance in Jubilee! at Bally's Las Vegas.
