The Hell's Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares star and U.K. production company Optomen Television have jointly launched One Potato Two Potato, Daily Variety reported Thursday.

The new production company will produce Ramsay's new projects, according to Variety, which added it will also distribute his current programs and formats internationally.  In addition, it will control publishing and other ancillary rights that may come to fruition via the shows.

"Optomen takes my passionate and perfectionist approach to cooking and restaurants and applies it to television," Ramsay told Variety.  "So we're a great fit."

One Potato Two Potato's first project will be Cookalong Live, a seven-episode series that will follow Ramsay as he shows how ordinary people can prepare a three-course gourmet meal in under an hour.

The series is based on a special that aired in January on the U.K.'s Channel 4, with which Ramsay has a four-year contract. Cookalong Live is currently slated to debut this fall on Channel 4 and a stateside version is already in the works, according to Variety.

Since Optomen has already co-produced Kitchen Nightmares' first two U.S. seasons and Granada America has produced Hell's Kitchen's first five U.S. installments, both of those series will be unaffected by the joint venture, according to Variety.
